I saw this and had to post.

This could be another armor style that wasn't originally mentioned but would look amazing in game.

"Bollywood Steampunk". It's not super revealing but find it quite classy and attractive.

We really don't need anymore obnoxious female armour, UO had some ridiculous looking plate armour, we need to get beyond this silly notion that woman have to have everything on display to titillate the masses. Whilst as an englishman I have a dislike for her, her armour is what is the norm. That being said, bollywood steam punk looks brilliant too.

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I offer not just another opinion siding with modest or realistic (yet still Fantastic) armor, but also the tumblr/blog:

    http://bikiniarmorbattledamage.tumblr.com/

I'm sure many of the example images and arguments presented already in this thread would be welcome submissions there as well!

    Bah. Bah I say!

I think most of the folks calling for neutral, non-sexy armor for women are all men on a mission. For those of you with wives and girl friends, can you honestly tell me that your significant other never thinks about presenting herself in an attractive manner?

Rather than force one style or the other, just make armor of many styles available. A intelligent sorceress is unlikely going to want to wear a bunch of blocky leathers. A female bard would no doubt indeed want to sexy it up.

What's the difference anyway between sexy, form fitting full body leather or chain, and something that shows some skin?

Is this spartan a slut? Showing some skin = keeping cool and keeping free from being weighed down by unnecessary armor weight. Metal plates formed into muscles is an ancient tradition. If women had the same they would have breasts on that breast plate.

To be honest I am more attracted to a woman in plate mail then a woman in a skimpy outfit.

And I would not say that spartan is a slut. But take off the armor from the knees down and ask me again. There may be benefits to keeping cool and better movement, but you don't have any protection on your arms and lower legs. Now you can have your arms and legs cut off more easily. Making your less effective.

    Just ask the black knight.

I like this one the most. She looks like the just went through the fealty process and is ready to go out save the world from dragons.

I like the armor and think women should have the option to be in it as well instead of just the skimpy outfits. I never understood how female tanks wore skimpy armor. Are they planning to show some leg to keep the monster distracted from the other party members?

There's a HUGE difference between 'sexy' and 'skimpy'. Armor should first and foremost be effective at protecting your skin, not showing it off. That doesn't mean it can't be incredibly sexy, too, especially if it's well made! There are many examples in this thread already, and thousands of others out there...

I for one, have always loved trying to put together the most fashionable armor possible for my female characters. As well as creating one with looks . Yes as in real life I want to turn heads .Not just look like a guy with boobs.
I well also say the development team fell a bit short with SotA female characters.Yes it is a big deal! Even the females 20 years ago in UO had cool looking armor, and was easy to tell apart from the guys .Yep SotA woman are ugly sadly to say
