Unrevealing armor of the Avatars!

DAMN! Somebody is going to have to fall down some stairs.

 

This thread brings up good points.

Female armor in most MMO's and RPG's looks like it was dreamed up by some horny 12 y/o.

While nothing is wrong with "attractive" armor that displays the curvy feminine features many of us know and love.... contemporary audiences *ARE* more open to "plain" armor on female characters.



It would be nice if there are "functional" sets (like Brienne's, or the other armors pictured in this thread), and a showy sets that caters to the tramps and harlots in the playerbase too! ;D

It's a little silly to me that people make a big deal about "unrealistic armors" when all the lady knights are like, the most beautiful women ever with like basically one body type represented.

Other than Brienne, who is a famous character in GoT, and only from last year, there's not really well represented women in fantasy, women not designed to appeal to adolescents' fantasies anyway.

 

Still, there are some cool pictures in this thread

 

I hope there are choices or sliders that range from "a bit portly" to "is that a boy?"
And for the men too, there should be a range from "wiry" to "it's hard to find armor that big".

However, it can wait for episode two.

Be brave and learn how to create Historical 15th century armour.

 

I agree we don't need to sexualize armour in the game.

Realistic armour for male and female characters.

But we do need skimpy clothing for the tavern wenches!

I think your spot on mate.

The way sex sells I guess they need to strike a balance between sexy/outrageous and functional/realistic.

It's interesting we say we don't want revealing sexualized armour but we post pics of outrageously beautiful women often with makeup in realistic armour with a particular body type

this is Historical Boiled hose that men would wear

 

She could easily be a nomadic merchant/gypsy with steampunk style.
