Hey guys, instead of making the planting bed bug fix feel like a punishment to some people, maybe fix the bug and create a new kind of planting bed?!

Vertical planting beds are a real thing, they can look very nice, and are excellent space savers for RL green houses. So, why not SoTA green houses as well? :)

Probably because it would require dev resources that can/should be put to better uses elsewhere, dont'cha think ?

**Edit** I must admit that having more "growing" space on any specific area would be a nice feature (if done right), but stacking beds is something that should obviously should not have taken place to begin with. So devoting precious dev time to "compensate" the current "planting bed exploiters" is something I believe unnecessary.

The best is the omega garden, 1/100th the water, 1/5th the light and usually grows 5 times faster.

I like Zipgrow Towers. Recommend the 5' ones, not the 8' unless you're real tall.

    Really?
Here are some vertical 'creative ways' I have done farming at my home.
There should be no reason why this would not be possible in game.
This is the first week after planting my 2013 crop.

    This is after 4 weeks:

If they ever manage to implement something like this and if done right i am definetly not against it.

But the "stacking exploit" is an absolute no go.

Yes I'm a bit sad to see this creative endeavor taken away. Now who told? *Sighs*. I had not stacked them myself but I did not get from what Chris said not a good enough reason for taking this option away. He said it just shouldn't be this way not that the game can't handle it or anything. We are a sandbox world and if it we should be able to play in it. Oh yeah he did say there needed to be room for the plant to grow. Well I'm sure the creative minds making these awesome displays could stack another Brick between layers ;). Anyway just a thought.

While most everyone see's the "stacking" of beds/pots as both unintended and an exploit, I certainly do see a "market" for more growing options.
Growing options would be most welcome both as items in the store and as craftable pieces. ;)

Oh, and this topic is the current topic of discussion in Chris's thread here.

Fixing an exploit is not a punishment.

    Punishment is banning exploiters.

I never said it was. I said "feel like a punishment". And, unfortunately, it does feel like a punishment for some. I heard an earful yesterday about it from more than one person. Some of the people that found this (bug) way to make better use of available space, think their ingenuity is being punished. And, although I agree that it's a bug and should be fixed, I can understand why they feel that way.

Also, honestly, I made this wishlist request as a legit request. It's not a complaint about the bug being fixed.

One more thing, for the record, I was the one that reported the bug (or at least one of the people that did).

The fix only effect people using exploits.

If the plant has room to grow, it Will still be possible to be Creative.
