What Does Your Name Mean?

Another South Park reference here, from my UO days. Since I'm canadian, always thought it was appropriate.

Cleome is a type of flower, and sometimes is called a spider flower. So I’m named after the flower.

 

I began using Greyfox as a 15 year old boy playing AD&D with friends. My AD&D character was a Wizard like my icon. I've always enjoyed playing primary casters due to the strategy and problem solving involved. Unfortunately most(all) online MMORPGs remove the strategy and problem solving elements of casters. No Developer is skilled enough to properly balance one.

Perhaps one day we can have a real AD&D online.

Back when I began Greyfox it seemed a suitable name for a powerful magic user, and was a part of my RL name. I remember wishing my dark brown hair would one day turn grey, so I would truly be a Greyfox.

I started going grey in my early 20's, wish granted! Balance that wish magic Developers!

PS: Those years where Metal Gear Solid stole my character name and changed it to Gray Fox, made me a bit angry. I was and will always be the ORIGINAL Greyfox.

Drunken typing?

 

Moryn is an old Celtic name that means "lives by the sea."

In Middle English, however, it's a variant name of a disease in Latin that means "pestilence or death among animals."

I didn't know about the (obscure) Middle English variation, but it feels appropriate in Ulfheim

 

First incarnation of me was in Dungeons and Dragons. Bella Rose. And same in UO. I upgraded her to Belladonna Rose as it had a bit more flair. LOL So yeah been using the name since early 80's....why change it

Lead singer of Duran Duran. Always was a fan of the band's early work and the name just felt medieval to me.

My main character in UO, DAoC, SWG, WoW, SWtOR, and now SotA all had this name.

 

My Blood Elf pally in WoW. I hit the name generator two or three... or four? No I definitely counted to three, no more, no less. Three was the number I counted, and the number of the counting was three. Four I did not count, neither didst I count to two, excepting that I had then proceeded to three. Five was right out. Once the number three, being the third number, was reached-BOOM-
