Why oh why devs... PvP zones and forcing people to go there, idiotic.

    @Bambino it sounds pretty fair.. After all, wheres the fair in they have to start the fight before you can do something to them, thats cowardly.. Just as those of us who said "no thanks" to pvp, should be able to live our lives as such and not have to find underground maps and word of mouth as to how to find a way to get to something thats like 20M in side a pvp zone, but half way across the map to get in without..

    1.) isnt xp per hour capped? Meaning the top pve content is the same xp reguardless of bonus?

    2.) arent blood bay and opalis currently using a skill-efectivness cap of 80?

    no. it doesn't. there is ALWAYS an alternate path. you can complain it isn't sufficiently communicated, but you are not forced.

    true but information on how to avoid them unless you read websites isnt easy to find.. there is next no mention on the quest text of an alternative router.

    Also, the default route should be through a PvE zone. The PvP route should be the alternate.

    I recently redid the path of love (spoiler incoming)...

    And when you're in the Necropolis, the actual exit, the only exit by which you can leave during the quest, puts you into Midras ruins. All of the other doors are "barred" because spirits block them or whatever. Someone told me that there was "another exit" that took you out elsewhere, but if that's the case, it isn't easy to find nor is it where you are seemingly led. You'd have to

    a) know that another route exists despite no indication of this
    b) instead of leaving by the exit presented in Necropolis, instead worldmap or recall and go to said other route

    The monsters/path in the 'other route' to Midras are significantly more difficult than the Necropolis / than where you are on that part of the quest
    The non-PvP route is considerably more time consuming.

    If you left via Necropolis to Midras, you have a total of 2 Load Screens before you're in the crypt and about a 10 second walk to go straight there.

    If you wanted to take an alternative route, you'd have to
    a) Worldmap or recall
    b) walk to Soltown
    c) Enter Catacombs
    d) Enter Solania Catacombs
    e) Enter Spectral Minds (5Skull zone)
    f) Find Key and Enter Midmaer Passage - have to kill the keydropper mob
    g) Find breakable wall and Enter Crypt

    OR

    a) Worldmap or recall
    b) Walk to Spectral Foothills (5Skull zone)
    c) Enter Spectral Mines (5skull zone)
    d) Find Key and Enter Midmaer Passage
    e) Find breakable wall and Enter Crypt

    OR

    a) Worldmap or recall
    b) Enter Kiln
    c) Enter Kiln Cistern
    d) Do half the puzzle to find your way to Midmaer Passage
    e) Find breakable wall and enter crypt


    At a bare minimum you're looking at a major hassle to avoid walking through the PvP zone.

    I'm sorry, this is absolutely ridiculous. "Yes, there's a bypass" but its a considerable hassle in both time and difficulty by comparison. If you attempted to use PvE only routes for the Path of the Oracle later you'll see similarly that it will take easily over twice as long and involve 3x as many load screens (and currently getting Path of the Oracle done takes over 60 load screens even if you do go through PvP!) You're looking at probably an hour minimum to go via one of the other routes (assuming you're at the adventurer level appropriate to Necropolis) vs. the 15 seconds it will take to go through the PvP zone. You're also likely to get killed along the way.

    Judging by the number of times this has come up, players are not OK with this.

    What exactly is the purpose of ferrying people doing the MAIN STORY QUEST through a PVP Scene?
    The only purpose I can think of is serving them up to griefers. Its not like they're going to stop mid-quest and be like, Oh, I fancy a bit of PVP???
    Do you really want to be the sort of game that caters to griefers?
