Neon Shroud of the Telethon - Official Q&A Thread

Hey guys!

I think there was a previous thread on this, but I figured I'd toss out an official thread for you all to post your questions for the live Q&A sections with the Portalarium Devs. You can also email them to thebards@spacebards.com.

Topics will tend to stay around bard skills, instruments, and music within Shroud of the Avatar, but feel free to get creative . If you'd like them directed towards someone specific, be sure to say so!

On Monday November 25th from 5-9pm EST, we will be streaming a live musical event entitled“Neon Shroud of the Telethon”, created specifically for the Shroud of the Avatar game community to help fund the kickstarter for our upcoming album “Neon Milk”.

During the live-stream there will be unique Shroud of the Avatar related pledge rewards and stretch goals, live musical performances, raffle prizes on the hour, mp3 giveaways, and open community discussions about bards and music within the game.

The event will feature special guests Chris Spears and Starr Long of Portalarium, Hearth of Britannia Founder Joseph “Rustic Dragon” Toschlog, Grandmaster Bard Holt Ironfell of Poets’ Circle, Stile Teckel of The Caverns, Steven J Goldman of Four Legs Records, Ember Isolte and more – including Shroud of the Avatar creator and astronaut Richard “Lord British” Garriott!
During the telethon, we will also be unveiling some original tunes we’ve composed for consideration in the game!

The live stream for the telethon will available at www.spacebards.com on November 25th at 5pm Eastern Standard Time.

With tailored made collars and alchemist enchanments, Animal Taming looks like the most expensive version of taming in gaming history...so as the kids would say "Why you be hatin' on the tamers?"

For those that pledged to the space bard's kickstarer tonight during the telethon, is there anything else we need to do to claim our SotA prizes?

 

For those who could watch the telethon, can you fill me in on the pledge rewards? Thanks!

 

For a $10 pledge you got in-game sheet music of the Space Bard song, LB Returns.
For $25 you got in-game sheet music for the entire album, Neon Milk.
I believe everyone that pledged to SB Kickstarter also received an in-game gypsy emote too.



These were the things I cared about. But don't take my word on any of it. The terms for everything were very foggy.

Any word on how portalarium will know who pledged and who didn't? I want my sheet music.

 

It took a week or two for them to sort out the Hearth's telethon, but basically the Space Bards will just forward all the email addresses to Portalarium and they'll match them up. If your email doesn't match your SotA account then I'd just email community@portalarium.com to clarify. The bonus will show up as another item on your add-on or pledge list once Portalarium creates it.

 

Congrats to the Space Bards for meeting their first stitch goal of $5,000, and upgrading from an EP to a full LP! Everyone's CD just got better!

So looking forward to hearing the whole thing.
