So, recently my name was forcefully changed as it didn't comply with the community guidelines on naming.

I can't quite figure out what was offensive about my name, so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a new name?

These are the ideas I have so far:

    • Odorous Joe
    • Festive Pants
    • Firstname Lastname
    • Slinky Fitches

To be honest I'm a bit more worried about somebody finding the name Fruit offensive...

    Those are excellent suggestions!

I'm guessing Smelly Pants is out of the question.

That was my first idea, but without knowing what was considered offensive, it might be the same issue. If the idea of pants smelling bad is conceptually offensive, it would have the same problem as Stinky Britches.

I would say you should email support and get a clarification on exactly what they considered in violation, so you can avoid choosing another name that offends.

Just explain your pants have a strong odor because you're a fisherman, and you have fish smell on your pants.

So you are suggesting Fishy Britches?

I've just responded to the support email asking to know exactly what the violation was, since I can't figure out what the issue was.

I'm hoping I can use one of the great suggestions from this thread!

    Brinky Stitches

I don't consider Stinky Britches offensive. I think it'd be interesting to RP a rather unkempt fellow whose name time has forgotten for what has become a rather identifying nickname.

    Sassy Gassy?
    Hewo Shimatta?
    Mean Beans?

    But "Sunny Fruit"? Heh.

Honestly i have found a few names that were not offensive to me...but to others I am sure they might be. I am not that PC or uptight to worry too much about it. I am sure there are those out there that are just a bit more prudish

It's the combination of words that could be misconstrued, if you change the second word by one letter. kronicd is kind to work with us to find another name that is safer to use. This is certainly an edge case.

Hmm, I guess that means [removed by Berek] is off the table then.

Someone who spent more than you probably complained about their "immersion". Tough break.

I get the concern, but "britches" is an era-appropriate word that means "pants", just seems whoever reported him was looking for bad things a little too closely.

Maybe if he simply changed the second word to "Breeches"? Like Stinky Breeches, or Smelly Breeches ("smelly" sounds a little better and more flowing with that second word changed).
