Twin Tailed Comets can be a Real Thing, and a Warhammer Thing, and a Shroud of the Avatar Thing all at the same time.

But I wonder if it is an LB thing... heralding some catastrophic event on or around July 4th.

Careful measurements are being made, including the date and time of all observations.
All Ordinis Astronomical Society members are also required to include the long and lat coordinates where the observations were made for verification; scientific peer review.
We've also begun a series of experiments to determine if it is, in fact, a NNBO (Near-New Britannia Object) that has a circular pattern or a near-miss incoming object on a one time pass through.
There is no record of this object being observed before the Quel Shardfall, and no historic documents on astronomical observations mention this phenomena.
As the scholar Arkah has noted, at this time there is no indication this is even remotely related to a shardfall, so there is no need for concern nor panic. At this time...

I know it's also a natural phenomenon, but Warhammer fantasy sure made huge use of it ;)

Please don't remind me of WFB... I have 7000 points of Bretonnians.

The important thing is I'm not bitter. *

It is reassuring to hear that the Ordinis Astronomical Society does not 'yet' see a risk of an impact, but this is New Britannia and the heavens are dangerous.

I will be monitoring the Societies' observations closely in hope that my free row lot arrives before the comet does and that I have time to buy a deep basement in which I will be dwelling should the object be heading this way.

As far as we can tell, the comet itself appears to be getting closer, but appears to be running more parallel to our orbital plane based on its movments relative to the Constellation Justice, implying less probability of any impact, but it will pass closer by, and likely these pretty bluish meteorites are dust from the tail burning in the upper atmosphere \o/

Could you periodically post its position? What constellation it's in? Or is it 'stationary' in Justice?

Please do, though the Scholar Arkah is leading the charge.
We do take the safety of both natives and outlanders of New Britannia seriously.
During the Quel Shardfall we lost our former Director and several young research assistants that wanted to observe the shardfall first hand.
Since that tragic loss of a great scholar and several promising young minds, we have increased our safety and governance protocols regarding astronomical observations and scientific experimentation.

Einstein said the same thing. Unfortunately, even though others may have observed this first and made you aware, you have taken the lead as the foremost expert of this phenomena.

That said, this "phenomena" should be given a name. The Ordinis Astronomical Society has designated this object NNBO-006.
    NNBO-005 was the "Quel Shardfall."
    NNBO-006 needs a name. I argue the Scholar Arkah, @EMPstrike and @Rufus D`Asperdi should name NNBO-006.

To be clear, nearly 65% of all research/knowledge of event NNBO-006 being documented in OAS books is thanks to the scholar known as Arkah.
This is quite sudden since we (Ordinis Astronomical Society) were still working on documenting NNBO-005 and the foolis...sorry, courageous members and minds lost trying to document it first hand; NNBO-006 has taken priority.

    Serious business.

As the seasons change, the comet has become visible again just barely over the horizon.

There actually is such a group? With books? Nobody told me! lol Ah well, I shall have to acquire some reading for my library!

Is anyone actually actively tracking this?
