Definitely a problem when navigating Net's maze for instance.

I had to use the "/visible" trick to remove my avatar's head, because it was blocking my view while negotiating those tight spaces. :)

Yes, first person option would be very well accepted, for most reasons already explained by others above. Doesn't have to be fancy weapon in hand
    - though that would be cool as hell lol - basic like dark age of Camelot.

I want you to have it, but personally I am not interested.

Fpv makes me dizzy, but I do understand the appeal.

Yeah, they should add first person view just because of mazes.

I think that for a start automatic /visible when zooming all the way in would be nice. Sort of like zooming into first person view.

Would be nice to have real first person (Mirror's Edge-like) with body, so it would be possible to jump at right times, it is really hard to time jumping while your body is invisible.

Absolutely. I love first person. Especially in-games like SOTA which encourage you to be yourself... hard to do that when I'm acting as a floating camera around my person.

But at the same time, I want it done right. They've gone with a 3rd person direction and any first person feature won't look right, as others have pointed out. I tried playing World of Warcraft using its first person feature. It's essentially impossible and you miss many required visual queues.

I was pretty appalled when I first played WoW and I realized that its first person view was so worthless. I was shocked that Blizzard, a company renowned for its polish and high quality of gaming (pfft hawhaw) would let their game ship with such a glaring feature missing. And it was supposed to be the EQ killer!

Well, joke was on me, no other MMO since has had a proper first person view.

I'd rather not don't care for it. Nothing personal just don't want it.

There is a way to remove the player's avatar from view, and also removes the HUD. I can't remember what it's called, but I had to use it to be able to navigate Net's mazes. It's an easy alternative for those of us who wish to use first person view.

    /view 'something'

I'd like first person view. But I can live with 3rd person if they would only do it correctly. I should not have to drag the camera around to match my characters movement and orientation. And yes, I know how to do it. But I shouldn't have to.

I really hope they give us a first person view. IMO it's inclusion would be a great tool.

Look at this. Battles in first person are much better imho. More intense. I do not think that first person should be forced on everyone, but some battles being first person only would be great. Especially those in our maze.

If its out of old ultima view, 3rd person and first person. My vote goes to the Ultima view. I think that 3rd person is the best view for this platform but having an option to switich views on occasion would be quite beneficial
