Kiln was under siege. Sept 7, 506. (Today, 9:53 NBT) However, as I was typing this, it ended. I have not changed scenes, so it seems like they can come and go without having to reload the main map.

 

Good to know.. So that siege lasted less than 2 hours.. I wonder if it ended naturally or if someone shut it down..

That reminds me of a couple weeks back I could've sworn I saw a siege around Eastmarch but it disappeared as I got closer so I wasn't sure.

Northwood (New).. Confirmed.. also this one is down to the hour.. love getting exact dates.

Hopefully Brookside will be ablaze by the time I check in the morning. ok ok have catapults ablaze..

Interesting.. so I just checked on a whim moments before midnight and saw the catapults there when they weren't there just less than an hour ago. Either I caught it spawning.. or sieges may not begin on or around midnight.

Eastmarch should be coming up next.

Just two more trips.. after that I don't think I'll be able to get any more new data.. needing to sleep and work and all that.. but it will hopefully be enough to support some solid theories.

There's the one tip that says Astrolabes are a crafter's friend along with other things, I saw only one reference to crafting in this section and it was referring to crafting on Friday the 13th... LOL. Is there anything known about crafting being affected by what the Astrolabe can tell you? I.e. Crafting during the month of Valor in a Valor city helps armor production or the month of Courage helps weapons or something like that?

 

So far it's all speculative. Even the hints were created by players so they aren't necessarily going to be accurate. As far as we know, while it's been talked about several time in hangouts these features haven't even been designed yet.

My guess is it the actual tech used for these features will be based on mastercraft/enchanting. So they'd probably want those to be complete before implementing celestial effects.

Ok so here's what I'm looking at.


The first 6 months are "Chaos", the last 6 are "Virtue"
I've blocked out months for cities with no sieges recorded for 506 and bolded sieges that are believed to be new.

Resolute is still the oddball here.. as you can see that for a city of 'courage' there are no sieges during May or Sept.. only during months of truth, love or humility. Which strikes me as odd.

I don't have much time left before I have to go to work so I thought I'd throw this up and let your all have at it.

You'll notice that all towns have 5-7 months of inactivity.. except for Aerie which seems to have 8

 

Color Analysis

Aerie: Blue & Red (makes Purple)
Ardoris: Blue, Yellow & Red (makes White)
Brookside: Green & Orange (Yellow is common)
Eastmarch: Orange and Purple (Red is common)
Etceter: Green (only Green with no other non-principle colors)
Fortus End: Orange & Purple (Red is common)
Jaanaford: Green & Orange (Yellow is common)
Resolute: Blue & Yellow
Kiln: Green, Orange & Purple, Blue, Yellow & Red..
Northwood: All but Blue

There are still some inconsistencies. Either from missing data or from bugs in the schedule. Or both.. Impossible to tell unfortunately.

hmm there's a process of elimination to be had here. Unfortunately, I'm rapidly running out of time.. so this will have to wait until later. Everyone feel free to have at it.

BTW: The virtue missing from this list is Humility.. or Black which is the absence of Truth, Love & Courage in the virtue system. Where as Spirituality is the combination of all 3.

What I'm trying to ascertain here is which towns are associated with which virtue or principle. We already know (supposedly) that..

Aerie - Truth
Ardoris - Love
Resolute - Courage

Which leaves 7 towns out of 10. I'm assuming that humility and infinity are being left out.
