That would be very interesting if that's the case. I think you'd see some people panic.

That means they are sold out completely from the add on store. For episode 1 the only way to obtain a village deed at this point is through a pledge or wait and purchase in game after launch but those will be limited in supply as well

If you buy or bought a lot and it becomes sold out, will it be locked onto your account at some point or will there still be an option to convert it to store credit during a wipe? Then is it available for sale again in the add-on store to other people?

What's the over under on how fast these things go?

I'm going to say all city lots are gone by the end of next week.
All town lots are gone in two weeks.
All row lots are gone in two months.

Whoaaa..... This just made me think of something... Is the "real" land rush going to happen when the game actually goes live? In other words will we have to zerg through (or skip) starting content to find our lots, or will it be sort of "quasi-live" (like what we have now - monsters but no storyline, etc.) so we can actually find a lot during our pledge window without spoiling the story and/or triggering content prematurely? This has got me a little bit concerned.

    Great question.

I really don't want to rush making my character, ya know?

Dont know, but i think you could be right.
I was fast enough and have now enough Lot-Deeds from every size for my PoT. :p

Once the Town and City run out....those row lots are going to look mighty good for anyone that doesn't have housing yet, or anyone that wants discounted housing.

I have 3 row lots now.

Unless there is a specific need for town/city.....given the price I would say row lots are probably best value for money.

This was kind of my line of thinking too... Seems like it would spoil a lot of the initial fun, ignoring everything to get to a lot first. And who knows how long it might take to find a good one, or how hard to get there without dying over and over as a level-nothing N00B... I'm looking at you, hat quests...

Agreed, but I'm biased. I have 524 row lots in Rats' Nest. But that wasn't done by accident. I think we'll have far more players than we have lots. Many of these players will be looking for the cheapest way to get a house that they can find. Row Lots fit that bill.

I really hope people without POT's who DO have nice backer deeds aren't going to get screwed out of the storyline during land rush.

I am also curious about this. I want to be able to enjoy character creation and not feel like I have to rush through it so I don't miss out on a decent plot. Interested to know how the devs plan on handling that when it comes time.

I own a village lot and like the fact that there are no more.

However, I am torn that something that is an important feature in this game cannot be used by everyone. I think at this point it is safe to say that a majority of development time has been used on housing.

If it makes you guys feel any better I have like seven land deeds and I think two of them will go in quantified position and all seven should be programmed for so theoretically the player owned towns have not only lightened the load by adding more lots but they're also freeing up lots in the "most desired locations" (how do you know this already?!) ;)
