What would have happened if SotA did not get funded?

    I decided to start this thread to put our fund raising campaign into perspective.

    Lately i've been reading complaints about the tiers / rewards and "pay to win elements".

    The alternative method of fund raising to totally avoid this issue would have been to make 1 pledge tier at $30. Affordable and without varying tier perks to avoid upsetting anyone.

    24,000 backers x $30 = $720,000. Guess what, we needed 1 Mil to get SotA developed. RG cancels SotA.

    What would have happened if SotA did not get funded? List 1 or 2 things that would not have happened for you personally.

    (1) I would never have received a warning from Firelotus about my forum tone :)

    (2) I would never have met all the outstanding members of this community (Developers and artists included:))

    Just a time to reflect on all we have achieved.

    3 -I would of had $800 more to spend on beer.

    4 - I don't agree with what eveyone says on here...but there are some pretty smart people in this community and most people are civil so ....I would have hated to miss out on all these forum discussions.

    5. We all wouldn't be here, anxious to see our dream game we all loved ina form of a rebirth in a new shell with different aspects

    6. The game might have still been named but would be like WoW and 90% of all these other dozens upon dozens of mmo's where everything is the same ole thing over and over again

    7) I would be instead pinning my hopes on Elderscrolls Online knowing that I would become disappointed in the faction based PvP like in all the other MMOs; and hating that I would have to first buy the game, then pay a monthly sub to play it.

    8) With SotA, I can put off having to immerse myself in a fantasy world by a whole year!

    I wouldn't have been able to participate in any of it and probably wouldn't know what to do with myself.

    My guild wouldn't have been revived. All my free time and gaming time is going to be spoken for now.

    BTW the KS target was 1M.. not 2M.. Still.. $720 would've been a fail either way. RG would've had to go to a publisher.. *cringe* and we all would've been terribly disappointed that the outcome wasn't what it could've been.

    Star Citizen players would wonder what happend to Myrcella and here ship "In Vas Mani".
    The last someone heard is she mumbling "time to find New Britannia" and then the ship never to be seen again

    No no no, the world would have a lot less whiners constant posting "omg i paid this game u promised safe world". Kickstarter idea was bad, LB already had SO MUCH money.
