Disappointed in land rush

    You didn't have to raise anything many of us have lot deeds due to our backing level.

    Not sure what you mean by raise? Do you mean gold? I am simply stating that it should take someone week/months to have enough to purchase land, not ~8-12 hours. In my humble opinion.

    I know about deeds, I have multiple accounts in this game with deeds..

    I was able to get a row lot there last night. Hopefully will get a chance to mess around with it tomorrow. So far so good.

    Something tells me that when the mainland opens up land-rushing for property Owl's Head won't be a good long-term strategy. ;)

    I didn't even want a house in Owl's Head. Loading screen time is too long, it's crowded, and it isn't the prettiest place to live.

    I wanted Port Mirren and I got that even though I tried at the end of the day, which means I had to settle for a waterfront property rather than something on the mountains but I'll live.

    In case you're not watching the patch notes, we added 5 new player towns this afternoon in Hidden Vale (in addition to Estercove this morning, for 6 total) so there are plenty of lots available!

    I thought the same at first as well but there are actually lots of lots available if you look around a bit.

    That is some seriously impressive turnaround in response to help make the fans happy! Seriously awesome of you guys! As a side question if you happen by this. I noticed the new towns are exact copies of other towns (at least I know one looks exactly like Port Mirren). I expect that is because they were rushed in. Will those be changed later or removed as more content on the mainland get completed?

    I was very disappointed in this aswell. I have 2 houses now but the amount of stress that it caused was just not cool. They should have at least released the new towns first. I went through crazy things yesterday because of this.
    So we have all these people with 3 prime lots and then we have others that cant find anything except a row lot somewhere you have to go through two instances just to get to. Its discouraging. I can understand backers that pay more should get something better than others but this?

    This land rush is by design, but is made worse due to the world not being built out completely yet. There are far more players with housing rewards than there were available house plots. That's why they added more (cloned) towns today to balance this aspect, especially with rewards delivered in this release and the ownership limit was increased to 3 lots.

    So with the 6 new towns added today, there were about 267 lots of various sizes free about an hour ago.
