Here are the questions that we did not have time to get to. I tried my best to answer these but some we just don't have details yet to provide. I will try my best to follow up but please understand I probably won't have time to do any follow ups to these.

Rednought: Would there be any game relevance for grand mastering refining skills like smelting, tanning, looming?
    Yes, just not yet

Rednought: What’s the significance of the expert level table for the respective tables? Currently they don’t seem to give any benefits.
They currently provide a +5 bonus to your skill level. As we are still balancing other areas of crafting this might be further tuned at a later time.

Rednought: Would there be additional gold sink measure? If so, what other measures are the team looking at to counter inflation in game?
This is a very open ended question. There are lots of gold sinks in the game including property taxes, item repair, fuels used in crafting, etc. We constantly evaluate the economy of the game and tune costs to keep the economy balanced. To date there has been no inflation of note.

Silvanus: Are you going to make recipes more generic so that once you learn to make one version of something like a strap of a binding or a weapon you can simply substitute different primary materials (metal, wood, cotton) without having to buy virtually duplicate recipes?
That is not currently in scope for Episode 1

Silvanus: Are we any closer to having the ability to bundle items together to sell as a package? As an example, put a complete set of armor in a bag and price the bag as a complete set.
As mentioned in the hangout having containers within containers that can move outside your inventory is not nearly as simple as it might seem so while we do want to support this feature we are not close to seeing it in game.

Ravalox: The “Rewards” bank type currently doesn’t do anything. When working; will this show only rewards, newly claimed rewards, or something else?
That is where your your items you purchase from the store go when you claim rewards until you move them to your local bank or withdraw them into your inventory so it does do something.

Fedwook: What are differences Between moon magic vanish an the Sub tree stealth? Any plans combine the effects of each to stack?
No plans for allowing stacking. The difference is largely in the effectiveness. Moon magic versions are more powerful when the moon is out but tend to be more costly to cast in terms of focus and reagents.

Valdor: Is it by design or a bug that dragon statues cannot be placed in homes / on roofs? The small dragon statue should fit on the roof of a duke home, but it is not allowed.
Bug. Fixing now. At same time we will be making sure all stone statues can be placed on same places including POTs

Tripp Swindle: Will the payment plan option plan be made available again for store purchases?
Yes we just have not had the dev bandwidth to make it happen

Tripp Swindle: Will hanging sausages ever be craftable/placeable?
At some point but not until they are integrated into the cooking system

Nemesis: Could you make greenhouses able to be placed on house roof’s such as the gothic houses?
    We will consider it

Nemesis: Can we get a customizable UI or allow mods to make the UI more customizable?
    We will consider it

Nemesis: When can we expect more tactics to be used in more places, instead of just face-tanking cps etc?
We hope to get more combat and creature behaviors in Q1 2017

Nemesis: WHEN are you going to make pets worth using past lvl 40, ALSO WHEN will we see other TYPES of pets?
    Q1 2017

Brightstar: Regarding stacking. Just like you have limits on lights, containers, and objects, could you make a limit of maybe 2 for pavers (one example) just to have that ability. Not being able to stack is cutting into the creativity part of decorating your lot.
    We will consider it

Brightstar: I love the rain and stormy weather that occurs, but it needs to be toned down a bit. It rains too much. Will you be able to make it snowy in the non-snowy biomes just for the winter season?
Weather frequency needs tuning and right now we don't have the weather tied to actual seasons.

Nim Love the thought put into house layouts, but would it be possible to have open plan versions of each?
We will consider it but that is a very large task

shadowvice (Maykie Antear) Is there any chance that a hatch and ladder option will come up in order climb up on my lovely Row deed and pop my favourite Nailshead chair and kick back and enjoy my fav mead?
I don't know what this question is asking

Graynight-Can we have more deco that can be set sideways (Like a book or cylinder)
Need specific examples of which items you would want this functionality added to.

WrathPhoenixQUESTION - can we get versions of the benefactor Baron home with material variations similar to what we got with the wood and plaster homes?
We will consider it but we do not plan on making any material variations of the pledge reward homes at this time.

LoneStranger (Aaxal Kuurle) It would be great if we could get a greenhouse row that had the internal layout like the viking, that has a lot of open space.
If we make more of these we will definitely take this into consideration

Khaza Is it possible to make the window shutters on Greenhouse Four-Story Row House please be loaded open or removed?
We have a bug in the backlog about the shutters always defaulting to closed

KnightGuy- will we see more architecture that the Avatars bring over from earth influencing Shroud of the Avatar? Like more technological influences\ like computers and such?
Only if it has been interpreted by the Kobolds like the phonographs, radios, etc.

KnightGuy Any chance you could link all the markets? So you could see stuff in other towns, and go travel and pick it up in that town? And maybe add vendors to those lists too
Not exactly but we do want to provide better tools and heat maps for vendors

Rawkinn- Can we get a Save Home/Deco & Load Home/Deco feature??
We have a task like this in the backlog called "Magic Movers" but it is quite large and complicated so we do not have an ETA on when this will come online

Majoria70: As a reminder in a Snowy Biome water is frozen, do we still have plans for ‘ice fishing’?
Eventually but might not be in scope for launch of Episode 1.

CrayLantra: Are more ingredients that can only be found by gathering in the wilds going to be introduced or is gathering just supposed to be a way to save a few coins and not a profession?
Yes we plan to add more ingredients over time

Nim can we have our own quest npcs in pots, that we design/manage quest and reward
Yes that is in long term plans but probably not in scope for launch of Episode 1

Merrik Dragon will i be able to date the cutie patutie Female NPCs in Shroud?
    Eventually

Candor Atlantica Any future plan to allow POT owners to place moveable exit/entry wagons to allow further customization?
Eventually but there are griefing implications that would have to be accounted for

Lockey Abernathy Are there any plans on improving the drops so that is coincides with the level of the monster? As in a 5 skull mob will drop more gold than a 1 skull mob?
    Yes

Umuri Can we get a polish pass on boss/big monsters so that they become worthwhile for solo/non-aoe players? Right now there is a huge dearth of worthwhile exp for non-aoe and non-group.
    Yes

LordRhys Q: Has Silver Ore been removed from the Random Overland Encounters, since R36 have only found Gold Ore
Forest encounter is the only one that has ever had silver and it still does.

Umuri Rephrased from last release: Can house dyanmic items be cached client side for towns with player lots? I know this won't change load times, however it will save a LOT of bandwidth for people on low connections.
We could do this in the long term but it will be a very large rework of the architecture.

Nasin Volu Will be possible to sell bank slots back?
    No plans for this

Link_of_Hyrule (Shugo Miyamoto) Can we get an update on new spells you talked about previously such as Meteor Shower, Stone Wall, and polymorph?
No details to share as of now.

Beard-Can we make Non-Combat pets that follow you not take damage?
We could eventually do this but it would require special code and would create some possible exploits so we have focused on other higher priorities for our small team.

Lady Caelee Those Rhodies and hanging ivy baskets that were put into the Brit scenes would also be nice to have for home decore...and small things to place on tables and shelves...like vases with flowers and maybe candy dishes...etc...any chance?
    Yes

Lady Caelee Can the Target Dummy not be considered on NPC so that multiple units can be placed on the same lot? I still want my pets as well.
Unfortunately in order for them to function as valid targets they need AI and therefore must be counted as NPCs

Drasancas Are there plans for commercial row houses? Like if they had display windows, like a store?
    Yes

Madmon Question: will we get new row basements, and mine basement for town size lots?
    Eventually but not soon

Umuri- Will we ever get a solo oriented control point so chris can stop pulling his hair out at us solo players winning his party zones?
    Not in current plans

Stryker SparhawkHas brewing been pushed off past Q4, and how far?
Yes not in Q4. No current ETA

Yobtaris there going to be a craftable Yule Tree?
    Hopefully for 2017 holiday season

Umuri-Is there a plan to allow player vendors to sell items from a stack? So you could put up 10,000 of a commodity and have people buy 50-100 at a time like from normal vendors?
This would be convenient but quite complicated to implement so unlikely to happen anytime soon

Twofoldsilence Will we ever get a true automap with a fog of war for all maps including towns, adventure maps and the world map?
Not for Ep 1 but we hope to provide other mapping solutions. Details as we have them

shadowvice (Maykie Antear) Is there any information on the expansion of the Agriculture skill?
Mass planting and watering, fertilizer. Rework of UI. Those are a few of the upcoming changes

Amber Raine For DarkStarr - Chaos Magick Is still missing "Control Deamon" ---- I think this is fantastic... Will this continue to remain this way? Knowing no one can control chaos.. OR... How does the forecast look on the Chaos Tree?
Undecided about "Control Daemon" and rest of Chaos tree in general.

Lockey Abernathy Will we ever see versions of mobs like the Gazers and Reapers someday?
    Maybe

Browncoat Jayson when will need resource nodes be added? Other tree types, honey combs, salt nodes, etc?
    Yes

Lanfire WIll there be new mobs added soon?
    Q1 2017

Yobtar-Can we get a Dunk Tank made in game that works. Where it would work like the target dummy and make it where you have to try and hit the target and then the door would drop and they fall in the water
    Funny suggestion

Lockey Abernathy: Will we ever see Hula Dancing and Grass Skirts in the Future?
    possibly

Nemesis2(Nemesis) can we have the crit heals show up a different color like the crit hits do in the combat log and combat floating numbers please?
    Good suggestion

Coral LLTS- Will you be making farm animals for the farmers for their farms, i.e. flocks of chickens, cows, etc?
    Yes

Amber Raine-The Chaos Ankhs are fantastic... .Are we seeing more Chaos coming ? Chaos Wings? Wall Mounts? Moar Star Stuffs?
    Yes

Bella Bones: Can we have new dances such as a waltz, a hoedown, and ballet?
    yes

MHARDER: Why was PvP based guild ownership of control points abandoned?
This was only ever an idea we were discussing, not a commitment so it was not technically abandoned since we never started down the path. And the reason we didn't start down that path is that we didn't want pvp groups controlling what are primarily PVE spaces that control access to large swaths of the map

Browncoat Jayson when can we craft disguises like the Rotten Armor, so we can do plays and RP?
    No ETA

Cordelayne- Will gambling ever be implemented in the game. Roulette, craps etc.
    Eventually

Duke Avery-For COTO gambling in PVP - will there be conditions for party gambling and guild gambling - or is just for SOLO players?
    Yes

Browncoat Jayson-Q: Can we get a basement greenhouse, with Wisp lighting, to grow in any housing situation. Row size is fine.
    Not in current plans

Maric- Any plans to add extra Character Slots?
    Yes

Seracid-Question: are their any plans to allow training more than 1 weapon skill at a time? (longsword in main hand with mace in offhand)
No current plans but Offhand still needs some love.

Umuri Will you be enabling an option to popup anytime a potential thief action is being performed to prevent the current boatload of bugs around accidental or unknowing thievery?
We definitely want to provide better contextual feedback

Arlin-With the node respawn changes are mines going back to being non-instanced? Or will they stay as Solo/Party only?
The current mines are planned to stay solo/party but we are considering designing some new Mines better built for Open play.

Mend: How are you guys tracking the health of the player base? Any positive metrics to share with the community?
While overall population numbers have been trending slightly down we have seen a nice steadying trend over the last couple of weeks. We have a small but steady player base which is what we need right now. We don't want to attract too many players until the game is ready for them (which it is clearly not).

Lord Andernut- When will we see the Kobold Crown Vendor? With The Ornate Lamps?
    R37

Tahru- Can we get stairs/ladders/... to make a 2/3 story structures?
    We will consider it

Rada Torment-Any plans to add more tools to expand the "player running quests" mechanics before episode 2?
Definitely more tools after Episode 1 launches but well before Episode 2 launches.

Kraye Will there be any dynamic events in scenes that will give a zone wide bonus? Ie 2x resource gathering if you defend against an attacking enemy?
    Yes eventually

Jarrod Kailef- I'd love for there to be more robust block building functionality. Is that something that's feasible? Being able to build something with a roof, for example, on an empty lot?
Roofs are hard technically so not high on our list currently.

xog- Will we be able to use an in-game book as an ongoing journal, rather than being forced to 'publish' the book. Publishing disallows further entries into a daily journal.
    Eventually

Stryker Sparhawk Are other weather effects going to be on the Overworld map like the swamp fog?
    Yes something like that

Barrels. We need to be able to rotate them sideways and then stack them that way.

hum how hard would it be to just remove the element of the ore from the recipe? Metal Binding - not Copper Metal Binding? not very hard to delete a small row of code. nothing new to add just remove the extraneous lines.

They could also just have a generic recipe item that teaches multiple recipes, even if they don't make the actual recipes in your book generic.

Posts like this make me so excited for this game. Is there anything more we as a community can do to support the game?

What are your biggest obstacles? Is there anything we can help with?

But doing a bit more pledges isn't going to double or triple their ability to make the game. It isn't going to increase their budget by 5x.

I'm wondering how they can capture the creative energy of their fans to help accomplish their mission.

What if there was something like the steam community market that could capture some of the creative power of their fans, and provide more revenue without continually taxing their resources?

They mentioned they are limited by dev bandwidth. What if they could get the community to develop some modules for them to use, or help clean their data? Outsource grunt work like they have done a little for QA?

As a programmer, what you are describing is considerably more complex than deleting a small line of code and depending on how they have tags and such set up might actually require a significant rework of the entire crafting system.

Originally (in 2013) the idea was to crowd source a lot of the assets, and there was a ton of work done by the community to create things. However, it was just too hard to keep up with it all and make sure that everything was a high enough quality. It ended up taking more time than it would have taken to just hire someone to do it right from scratch, or as they have done quite a bit, buy things from the Unity Asset store that are 90% of the way there already.

More money==more developers. I don't know what Austin's payscale is like, but in San Francisco, 100k or so would pay for someone's salary for a year. If they hired another world builder, that's probably something like 20 scenes new/uncloned.

First, thank you for taking the time to address the question.

Now, with all due respect, the present FUBAR knee jerk recipe scheme wasn't part of Episode 1 either.

As I posted in the R36 feedback forum on crafting, I support the concept of eliminating recipe discovery through non game resources in order to make crafting worth the time and effort to develop proficiency.

I can appreciate the fact that you may not want me to discover the recipe for an epic cloth chest through trial and error .. or even more appropriately that I need to achieve a high level of skill in order to learn it.

What I don't understand is why you decided in R36 that if I am taught or buy the recipe for an iron binding, that I'm not capable of discovering through the simple substitution of the primary ingredient how to make copper bindings, bronze bindings, etc..

You already have the code for this ... look at carpentry and blacksmithing ... nearly every recipe for higher level finished goods have generic component requirements ... straps, blades, heartwood, handles ... virtually any component.

But when you go down to the components at the refining level, everything is material specific. I could accept this if the recipes were different for each variation ... but they're not. A coil of wire is ALWAYS 2 ingots, a chunk of coal, smelting tongs, and a wire mold.
If this isn't s case of ill considered reaction to a perceived problem, poor design, a gold sink, or just another slap in the face to crafters, FIX IT.

All you need is 1 metal binding recipe, 1 cloth strap recipe, 1 leather straps recipe, etc..

    I'm just sayin'

Seriously, this is a more complicated change than people are presenting it as. I know that intuitively it seems simple(and it doesn't help that since I don't know the code I have to be very generic), but it isn't necessarily an easy a change as it seems. This kind of hyperbole is a bit much.

I don't know how its coded on the backend, so it may be difficult to make this work for all components. But there are other options besides the current "buy each variation" too. Why not have the merchant sell "Recipe: Metal Ingot" as a bundle, and you get Iron Ingot, Copper Ingot, Gold Ingot, etc, when you learn it. The recipes can still be separate, just combine the learning process into a single acquisition. Then, whether you buy it from a merchant, find it in a chest during an encounter, or loot it off some cultist's body, you get all the necessary recipes in one swoop.

Just make the learning process easier. It makes no sense to do one-offs on this.
