So only a few days left to buy your tickets in game so I wanted to share some numbers so people know what to expect!

So first off a reminder of what is up for grabs:
    • 75 place anywhere deeds
      • 40 Row deeds
      • 20 Village deeds
      • 10 Town deeds
      • 5 City deeds
    • 600 POT only deeds
      • 320 Row deeds
      • 160 Village deeds
      • 80 Town deeds
      • 40 City deeds
The drawing will occur the morning of the R34 launch. Deeds will show up in your bank rewards hopefully the same day. Winners will be made public on Friday. All deeds are of the taxed variety.

Reminder, this lottery includes far more deeds than we will likely put in future drawings so go get your tickets ASAP!

Place anywhere lottery ticket odds of winning:

    1 to 13.44
Projected cost to have even odds of winning:
    134,400 gold

POT only lottery ticket odds of winning:

    1 to 4.34
Projected cost to have even odds of winning:
    21,700 gold

Currently this has swept about 1/5th of all gold out of the economy. That is slightly lower than my target of 1/3rd so I expect you guys to go fix that!

As always, may the odds be ever in your favor!

So does this mean if we spend 25K gp (one step higher than 21.7K) to buy POT raffle tickets, we're most likely guarantee to win one?

What are the odds for the next lottery? Since everyone at a pledge level sub lot deed gets a ticket I'm guesing people won't buy unless you tell them it's not as bad as it sounds!

Based on my dumb math - 60,000 people have accounts in varying forms. Approximately 6-7,000 people have pledges or bundles, therefore 53,000 have $25-45 accounts so the competitors in each tier of the lottery/raffle. You are WAY, way more likely to win in this Release's Lottery versus the next one. Enjoy!

As far as I am aware they only get one if they log in. I don't expect the player base to be much greater next release than this release.

also with all the deeds up for grabs this time and all the heavy investors buying gold to get tickets that means they wont be able to win in a future lottery is my understanding.

so in the future that means your not going to be up against the full time grinders and gold buyers :) my 2cents

EDIT. was wrong about wins being Dq'd from from future lotteries ;)

Winning does not disqualify you from future lotteries. Not sure where you heard that... you can always buy tickets. It's actually intended as a gold sink so no one is excluded.

Next lottery is the "Everyone gets a pony" lottery where you get a ticket for logging in and going to the bank.
You can win more than one deed. (Currently, one very ambitious group has purchased about 1/7th of the total tickets and could win 100+ deeds!)
Winning does not disqualify you from future lotteries. For the more mathematically challenged here are the chances of winning at least 1 deeds based on how many tickets you buy for the POT deeds:

    1 - 23.02%
    2 - 40.74%
    3 - 54.37%
    4 - 64.87%
    5 - 72.94%
    6 - 79.16%
    7 - 83.95%
    8 - 87.63%
    9 - 90.47%
    10 - 92.66%
    11 - 94.34%
    12 - 95.64%
    13 - 96.64%
    14 - 97.41%
    15 - 98.00%
    16 - 98.46%
    17 - 98.81%
    18 - 99.08%
    19 - 99.29%
    20 - 99.45%
    21 - 99.58%
    22 - 99.68%
    23 - 99.75%
    24 - 99.81%
    25 - 99.85%

Odds by tickets purchased for the place anywhere lots:

    1 - 7.44%
    2 - 14.32%
    3 - 20.68%
    4 - 26.57%
    5 - 32.01%
    6 - 37.04%
    7 - 41.70%
    8 - 46.01%
    9 - 49.99%
    10 - 53.68%
    11 - 57.09%
    12 - 60.25%
    13 - 63.17%
    14 - 65.88%
    15 - 68.38%
    16 - 70.70%
    17 - 72.85%
    18 - 74.83%
    19 - 76.67%
    20 - 78.38%
    21 - 79.95%
    22 - 81.42%
    23 - 82.77%
    24 - 84.02%
    25 - 85.18%

I admit to being mathematically challenged... So a maybe stupid question: The "win chance" is based on the number of raffle lots sold so far right?

Yes, and with the purchase of more tickets between now and drawing, the odds will changed.

    Thanks @Chris

Darkstarr and Bereks information posts indicate you no longer receive free tickets if you have won in a previous Raffle/Lottery.

Based on those % and the available winner deeds you can reverse engineer how many tickets have been sold in this raffle/lottery.

    1008 Place Anywhere Deed Tier
    2606 POT Only Deed Tier

Because you would then be 'landed' and no longer qualify... as long as you owned the deed, as the OP specifies Ownership rather than Winning.

Which brings up something that likely needs clarification...
    • Are the "Free tickets" a one time, or recurrent event?
    • If recurrent, does "Winning" disqualify you from future events, or does "Owning/Having a Deed" disqualify you from future events?
    • If the latter (and this may have been thought of and accepted as a fact) it will be possible to 'farm' deeds by having an account that qualifies, and then transferring the deed (whether by sale or gift) to another non-qualifying account, returning the winning account to a qualifying status.
The original post would seem to indicate the latter:
If I have a qualifying account, win a deed through a raffle and then transfer it to a non-qualifying account, I no longer Own a deed and therefore qualify again for free tickets in subsequent raffles.

    Is this the intent?
