Absolutely love this. Also good that I always use 2-handed sword.
What will the rough distribution of add-on store to ingame patterns be? I'm hoping that many, if not most will be acquired ingame but you don't have a great track record on that sort of thing so far. =P
Is reshaping a 100% guarantee or is there a chance of failure (and the item being destroyed?)
Jaw.... on the floor.
Great question (I assume it's 100% guarantee).
I'd like to see Chaotic items that had a small chance to turn into something else though.
Please remember that the elves in the game use the stretch goal gear, I would be very sad if you made those recipies avail that includes the elven bows ;(.
Does this include the quest hats, and as a example could I apply the caviler hat to any other light armor item and over ride its current design?
Yes I agree a couple of things should stay unique to avoid the backlash from it being pledged for and promised to be unique, and my other concern is if everyone can make everything even though limited then it becomes not so rare.
I am not sure how this is going to be balanced, but that is the problem, artifacts being rare but yet they are a drop that can be farmed makes them not rare because they will seriously be farmed by mega farmers. Which is fine, it gives people something to do and the artifacts being made are fun as well as special.
So just sayin.
Looking forward to salvaging my stretch goal Elven archer armor & Elven bow to get the eternal recipes. Would love it if the archer armor (considered light armor) applies to leather/cloth armor I've crafted. Is there going be some indicator or list to let us know when a stretch goal item (now all expired) is ready for eternal recipe conversion?
Me too but I am worried they will make these dropable starr mentioned the ornate eleven bow and its the same as the strech goal design.
I remember the 2015 grimreaper rare revival in 2016, misteaks happen id like to avoid this one plz.
I'm going to guess that they are different items than any of the rares, unless you are using a rare to make it. In which case the rare becomes more valuable because it now has more uses, and there are ways that it can eventually be removed from play.
Can the Ornate Flamberge itself be salvaged for an eternal pattern?
@DarkStarr I really want to like the idea, but this just seems to add a crazy amount of complexity to a game that still needs a significant amount of work to launch with KS features. Can we please stop adding new features into the fray until KS ones are completed?
Question from the post mortum... as a chain wearer, is there any ornate gear even created as chain? Would love to have something new to wear.
*looks into his crystal ball*
Using "salvage" as the means to get an eternal recipe out of a pledge item...
...I predict a lot of big mistakes from players not being careful.
As such, consider having a seperate button for converting items to eternal patterns that only light up if such a pattern exists.
@DarkStarr: could we flag items with a pattern as non sellable to not accidentally sell an eternal pattern?
Can anyone apply patterns ..or do you need skill in the craft to apply them?
Will there be any visual indication on a Vendor list showing that the item on sale has been modified with a pattern? Or will you need to press CTRL to see the details of the pattern being applied?
I would much prefer an obvious indication that the piece of equipment is worth a lot more because a pattern has been applied.
