I probably have screenshots. First thing I learned around here: posts disappear so often you need to screenshot everything so you can keep track of what was said.

Yes! A step in right direction to making PvP what is should be, instead of just glorified roleplay/duels.

With the Ban issue in PVP Towns now looking resolved.
I think a serious rethink on POT owners powers to evict a player from their House Plot, in PVE & PVP needs to be looked at.
Once a POT owner gives another Player permission to claim a lot, they cannot be evicted by the POT owner.

Just my suggestion to make it a Fairer option for players over POT owners are:

    1. Remove POT owners right to evict directly from a Plot, this should be a request by them to Portalarium who retain power over the eviction Tab.

    2. POT owners have to make the right choice when offering a Player to live in their Town. Not allow anyone in just fill up their Town until they find someone later they prefer to have.

    3. If at any time the POT owner then decides he would want a player to leave. The pot owner should then inform Portalarium who can mediate in the process making sure that their is a Lot of the size the evicted Player requires Free in an NPC Town so that the move can be carried out, without the Player left in limbo by a POT owner.

    4. A Rental agreement with the player for a set period of time, ensuring they realise that it may not be extended leaving them possibly homeless ( without an available NPC Plot)
6 months being shortest rental period.

4 added with suggestion from @rune_74

I´m very happy that the pvp community is happy about this, and to me it makes sense that there is no sense in being able to ban when you have the solution to "get rid" of people by PvP ...

.. But to be on topic, even though starr just said that it was a decision that was already made, and had nothing to do with that thread/poll - this is what is wonderful with Portalarium business model.. Everyone can make the difference! So keep it up, post ideas and suggestion, it will be better in the long run!

I agree with most of this, however I think PoT owners should have a rental agreement system where they can rent out the lots to players for a certain amount of time, with options for renewal. This would protect the players interest and make PoT's more attractive.

Now for bad renters you can get Port involved to remove them if they have broken some rules.

At this point I think there is too much risk in renting a PoT Lot, obviously there are some gains, but I don't think they mitigate the risk.

Rune, i like this idea of yours, and i was thinking about something simular to the UO Vendor rental contracts ( Which works like you mention if anyone doesnt know ) ..

The PROBLEM, is that PoT owners would just set on lowest possible time limit ( say 30 days ) and put it on auto renewal... it's the same thing as being able to evict at "any" time ( 30 days max isnt a long time ).
