    SNEAK PEEK: CAPITAL OF NOVIA
Hey guys, SorcerousSteve here to give you a teaser shot on the upcoming city: Brittany!

Captured below is the South Portside Gate. A hub of commerce and trade, its streets are littered with cargo from afar, muddy sludge from the wagons covers the cobblestone, and the stench of fish penetrates the air. Not the classiest part of town but home to some quite rugged folks. From here we can catch a glimpse of Brittany Castle in the far left home to Lady Arabella, wife of the King of New Britannia Lord British! If you look to your right you can also catch a glimpse of a lighthouse, that section is currently under construction and will lead to the North Portside Gate. To put things into perspective in this frame is one of the five city gates that will feed into Brittany Central, 4 of which will come from surrounding neighborhoods/suburbs and 1 which will lead in from the Brittany Graveyard.

Stay tuned for more progress on the City of Brittany!

So Brittany will have 5 scenes! Awesome!

    So psyched!

Been waiting YEARS for this. More more more!!!

I kinda wish there were some lots "locked" to certain house-types so if you claim that spot it would fit the "look" of the area, the screenshots are cool but you can tell where the housing is the iconic light house in the distance or lordly manor up on the hill could be anything once players dig in.

Looks like they're saying 4 Neighbourhoods + 1 Graveyard feeding Brittany Central so 5 scenes + Graveyard.

Originally the plan was Brittanny the City with the Towns Brittanny SE/SW/NE/E

And also Elad's Lighthouse as a Village off Brittany.

Of course Ardoris was supposed to be 3 city scenes, not sure if that's happening.

Cool looking cargo cranes. That central area looks a bit like a gallows...
Great to see new guard towers and building textures!

This is very nice... I'm looking forward to getting lost in the city in the game. :D Some of the elements feel like Aerie, but its a lot denser and you get a sense of the industry and the housing bleeding together, so the city itself feels industrious and full of life. The boardwalk is nice as it always looks up at the city and at the castle.

I'm wondering if there are plans to incorporate pennants along the streets, or even just around the castle. So far we have some small ones in Kingsport, which do fly in the wind, and I think are a nice element that adds to the design. I'd actually like to have players be able to plant those at places in their POT.

And then we have some larger ones in Aerie, which are static and don't move in the wind. I would hope those eventually will animate.

But I bring this up because I'm nostalgic about Lord British's castle in Ultima VII, where as you passed over the drawbridge, you'd walk past blue and red pennants and the Hail Britannia! music would play.

Since this is the capitol, I imagine that flying pennants along some streets could bring a sense of majesty and importance.

This picture just keeps me looking and looking. The details are fantastic from the castle's crenellations to the (animal-powered?) drive wheels on the quayside cranes.

If you post any more screenshots, SorcerousSteve, examining them may cut into my SotA playing time! Do, please! I shall scarf down my meals at the keyboard instead while admiring the view.
