NovaGamer.net has started fundraising for the IWK Children’s Hospital. We are dedicated group of gamers from Nova Scotia, dedicated to our own brand of game reviews, news, podcasts and features! Extra Life has raised millions of dollars for children’s hospitals all over the world, and this year we want to contribute to their goal of helping more children globally. Extra Life contributed $18,000 to the IWK last year and we want to help push that goal further this year.
The IWK Children’s Hospital is a crucial support center for our local community in Halifax. Parents and children rely heavily on the IWK Children’s Hospital for health care services, support and training. It’s important to help us donate back into our community, and Extra Life gives us the opportunity to do so. Since 2008, Extra Life has raised more than four million dollars for these hospitals. Every penny raised is donated to the hospitals to help with new equipment, medications, treatments and more lifesaving costs.
The NovaGamer team will be fundraising throughout the fall, leading into November. Our grand finale will be a 24 hour gaming marathon, streamed out live to the internet.
