Get your party spot ready for a contest that’s sure to wow all the guests! Over the next two weeks, you will have the opportunity to show off your party hosting skills in today’s contest – Rock Me Avatarus – Party Showcase Contest. Contest begins now and runs until 12pm (Noon) CT on July 5th, a day after Lord British’s birthday on the 4th!
While we encourage you to take screenshots with a full party scene, you don’t need individuals attending in order to submit and win, though we do encourage you to invite the community to fill up the space! If the spot is decorated really well with a fun party theme and the bar/dance floor/whatever space is empty, please still submit an entry.
Examples of some party themes include: dances, holidays (such as Halloween), a classic bar scene, birthdays, cultural (including marriages and other similar celebrations), seasonal, midnight rave, pool party, etc. etc.
SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE
- 3-5 screenshots of the party scene
- Brief 1-3 paragraphs description of the party scene, including a title, for context
- Bonus option: A happy birthday message to Lord British somewhere in the scene!
Submit all screenshots in a single post reply to this forum thread. Deadline to submit is Wednesday, July 5th at 12pm (Noon) CT, so get those plans started now! Winners will be announced on July 6th around 4pm CT at a yet unannounced special event.
We will only accept one submission per individual or group. No reuse of submission materials or locations please! This includes those in a crowd submitting separate screenshots of the host’s party, or those attending multiple parties.
SCREENSHOT GUIDELINES
- Resolution: Minimum of 1920×1080, and always in 16:9 aspect ratio (you can trim).
- Quality: Use in-game settings to their maximum, no post-screenshot alterations allowed.
- Set the stage: Other players and staged items in the shots are great resources.
- Remember! UI off toggle is (Key: F9) if you wish to use it. We recommend at least one screenshot of each option for our internal presentation purposes.

- 2nd Place: $50 store credit, Party Hat (x5), a Fireworks 48-Piece box, and COTOs (x3)

- All other valid submissions: COTOs (x2), and Party Hat (x 3)
* Party Hat has yet to be added to the game!

Since this is a value-based contest, a committee of judges will be formed at Portalarium, and any tie breakers will be resolved by the committee. Any disputes or disagreements in the community on who ultimately won will NOT be tolerated as an open discussion in the forums, but sent instead as a PM to community manager Berek. Anyone attempting to subvert the contest in any way is subject to an immediate suspension and/or disqualification from the contest.
Inappropriate or vulgar submissions are prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
Submissions containing any of the following are also considered inappropriate:
- Sexual content or references
- Disparaging race, gender, or group of people
- Drug or alcohol abuse
- Death or suicide of persons real or fake
- Graphical bugs
- Depicting the state of the game in a negative manner
