    Babylon 5 has a system that can be used for surveillance and observation (with a range far beyond a mere single planet). It requires a living being to help maintain it, but they are able to separate from the machine for short periods of time. Connecting to the machine keeps that being alive.

    I've been leaning towards Exodus in some other incarnation, just lulling the people into a false sense of security but then all these new arrivals (us) usurp the power. Perhaps the temples will turn into dungeons.

    On the spider thing, something that's interesting is in folklore, spiders have been considered good luck and a sign of prosperity -- but more importantly, killing them has been considered a sign of bad luck. This was probably because spiders killed flies, who carried diseases... but it would translate differently for the mechanical spiders in the game. An old rhyme: "If you want to live and thrive, let the spider run alive." It would make sense that people who thought positively about the Oracle would have these types of superstitions.

    I guess good automatons have blue eyes and evil ones have red eyes,

    Looks really nice.

    The only thing that bothers me a tiny bit is, assuming those are viewscreens, the rectangular shape makes it feel very modern. I don't know if thats part of the point, but if they were circular shaped screens, and even (maybe, don't know if it would work) slightly convex, like contact lenses, they might feel like technological adaptations of crystal balls.

    Just adding my thoughts, but it does look really good.

    Outlanders are the aliens, and ancient since they live 100 times as long and have been there for thousands of years. LB is an alien who came to Britannia to advance their civilization.

    Why all the view screens? It seems the Oracle gets direct input from her (its) minion watchers via all those cables. Should the view screens be for visitors then there are way too many.
    Also with all the cables about it seems no one approaches the Oracle directly.
    Are there other Oracle minions? The 2 versions we have seen do not appear to be able to do maintenance, no grasping appendages. So I run in there and pull on a bunch of cables and tie them in knots then run away. How will the Oracle repair?
