Not a fan of the wind generators?

I'm not a fan of the wind generators. Especially when every man and his dog has one flapping in the wind.

Just saying...

 

I'd be a fan if they were actually doing something (and perhaps it made more sense to have them in a reasonable location and not to have 5 in your living room).

Once they have some kind of functionality, I think I'll like them a lot more.

 

When the majority of people placing houses are high level pledges and there is extremely limited space, we get silly stuff like this.

 

Expect this in the major NPC towns as well.
Lots of high pledgers get to claim first so high pledgers will be the majority in all largish NPC Towns.

 

Good point. Here's to hoping Ardoris doesn't have 5 lighthouses...

 

That makes me wonder if 5 small ones could fit inside of a Duke Castle on the ground floor??

 

I have a wind generator - just wish i could melt it down and recycle the wood.

 

Wing generators are a logical step toward air travel.

 

The wind generators, and other power/energy generators reveal their purpose over time. Energy will become another resource or perhaps commodity when this mechanic is more fully implemented in the future. For example, it's been said the aetheric amplifier (radio) needs a power source...so you can guess what other items might need them as well.

 

The wind generators are an eyesore. I hope to petition the mayor of Owlshead in order to have them banned and removed from the town.

 

I prefer it to the bed on the front lawn with the birthday cake on it. That cake is going to be so rancid by the time they get around to eating it.

 

I wonder if wind generators will work better where and when there's more wind

 

the problem is with the limited space on the claims, right now the claims are terribly calculated size wise, there really isnt a whole lot of decor people can place on their claims, quite honestly a claim should be large enough to fit the corresponding house size for the particular lot and a good size of space for decorating purposes, basically as near as I can calculate, a row lot should be village size and a village lot should be town size and a town lot should be city size and so on, why? because right now you cant do hardly any decorating with the current sizings, and underestimating the value of housing and how much people LOVE to decorate, is a very bad move indeed.

 

Since you can't get a windmill until you have at least a village lot, it works out. Anything up to and including the Edelmann houses still has room on the lot for multiple crafting tables and windmills. Once moving on to the Knight housing, there is plenty of room on the roof.

 

I guess you have a point, those windmills are definitely eye sores.

 

I honestly thought they were propellers to make my house fly.

Give me a bed and cake on the front yard any day! They need something nice to pop out of that cake.

 

haha touche! Still, the bed is far more appealing imo.
