I think @Sciamano would want to kill her... is that an option? Is she "PvNP" flagged? :D

My head cannon is that Avatars don't die permanently in New Britannia because this is just a projection of our selves, with our real body still present on Earth. We are an Avatar in multiple ways (representation of virtues, and a virtual representation of our true self on Earth).

The residents of New Britannia can't resurrect because their true body dies in New Britannia.

Yes it is, at least for us. When an avatar dies while infected, a zombie spawns where the body was when the body disappers.

Lum, this is great news! I feel like all my snarky feedback was worth all the effort now!

Avatars always resurrect themselves, by going to ankhs or letting enough time pass that their spirits and bodies get pulled back together.

But my thinking as per the Resurrect spell was that its Life Magic, so there should be a way through magic to resurrect Novians, shouldn't there? I would think the Obsidians would have also figured how to resurrect people, especially if there's a link between Novian magic and (old) Britannian magic, where resurrection of NPCs was always possible. If not, I'd think this would be explained in game somewhere.

Except you can't use the spell on NPCs, and if magic existed to just resurrect anyone in the world, then it would disrupt society in massive ways.

You can't directly attack her, but you can I suppose sit her in a fire field (she uses standard pet AI)

So basically each Avatar is in a coma state while we are in New Britannia.

So. A family member comes home and sees you slumped on your PC in a state where you are not responding. Calls 911. They cannot get you talking or blinking. Takes you to the hospital.

The medics at the hospital declares you have a non responsive state.

Next thing your spirit returns to Earth from New Britannia to find yourself in a box six feet under?

    Did I get it right?

If it is astral projection then you might be somewhat comatose, but previous Ultima games had different time scales between worlds. Ultima VI to VII jumps forward 200 years in Britannia though it has been a short time for you on Earth. So your entire journey in New Britannia might be 8 hours of sleep on Earth.

Loving the new changes to the tutorial @Lum . Especially the removal of the tips. I hated those popping up in a big box and taking up screen real estate. The on-screen text tips are at least small and somewhat transparent so they shouldn't be an issue.

How long do they remain on-screen and do/will we have the option to turn those off too?

Really excited to see that Edvard will be fighting along side us now. This means that the AI tech for companions is nearly finished and that means that other quests and NPC rescue missions, etc. will be possible at some point. :D

Also, it will be fun to try to kill more skellies than Edvard on the journey across the bridge.

    Oh, and children!
