    Two questions:

    1) What exactly as Richard Garriott talking about (I’m paraphrasing) when he started using the “players stamping out coins from gold ore”? Is that really going to happen? Are the days of endless gold coins finally over? Have I heard correctly and the players will finally have some kind of logical control over their own economy?

Please someone on the dev team say yes.

If the answer is no, this was just a hypothetical. Is it possible for you to drop everything you’re currently doing in an effort to make the above hypothetical a reality?

    2) The selective multi-player still seems a little half baked to me. I think it’s a great idea, but it appears to be something that is still very difficult to explain. What happens when my friends want to PVP but I don’t? What happens when I PVP but then “throttle” down to non-pvp? What happens when I advance the story in single player online mode, but I do it at a very slow pace in comparison to my friends? Now I “throttle” up to friends mode and they tell me what’s going to happen?

Honestly, I think some kind of visual aid may be needed here.

Oh! Follow-up question. It seems like there will almost be an END to Episode I based on when players “finish the game” on an individual basis. If this is correct, does that mean that people have to stop playing?

I know this isn’t a traditional MMO, but I have been under the assumption that housing and items and skills were going to be persistent and I could play SotA in a “sandbox” like world for a very VERY long time.

Any additional thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Based on what Richard said during the the KickStarter, “Forsaken Virues” will have and end to its story, after what the new story will continue in the second episode, but will also bring a new continent to explore. My understanding is that once you completed the storyline you can still ontinue playing in the world of course – the did mention they’d want to release smaller updates in between episodes, so I’ll assume we’ll see New Britannia gets updates with new “scenes” even before Episode 2.

I think this will be the case with items that we create, but I’m not sure about gold. Hopefully the global (also npc) economy will be bound to players’ crafting and adventuring. Perhaps trade doesn’t need to always include gold, and we can trade goods for other stuff we need.

If I understood correctly, the game will create instances when needed to let the player continue the story on their own, so sometimes people might get separated if they are going in a group while questing for the storyline.

I think that after the storyline is finished, the sandbox experience will continue and we’ll be waiting for the story to continue in ep. 2. However the world may keep changin all the time thanks to the dual map!

    RC Enticing you into decisions.
If the ethical thing to do is allow one plot of land and house per Avatar, and you know some will set up more accounts and may use them to set up a 2nd house ( although most will be set up to gain a different set of crafting skills) do you.
    1. Keep the one Plot per account to ensure more people can own an house ( The best option for sandbox game longevity)
    2. Allow everyone to own multi plots ( This would only work in the games favour if you cannot pay $’s for the plot and have to earn in game gold otherwise on release they enter the world buy all the plots they want. Were if its in-game gold only its about playing the game and earning the gold for the plot so they will have to earn the gold for every plot.
An in-game shop should be for decorative items some people want, not anything they can effect other peoples enjoyment of their game.

First comment :) Ultima 7 had readable books
In MMO will there be ability to Create and Join a guild?
Will we be able to direct chat to specific Friends that I might wish to Befriend in the game?
Will there be a way to Find Friends online?

    Thanx, Katscratch Fever
