I love the idea of supporting other projects this way but I would rather have other unique items than a tax free village POT which can be obtained via a bundle upgrade; this is not unique enough of an incentive to tempt me to invest :)

But please do keep offering this kind of incentives, just maybe be a bit more creative in the incentives being created and offered for each new opportunity being supported in this way :)

For supporting other projects I would lower the investment requirement to 500$ as an attainable amount for many more people vs. a 2000$ tier. This still gives exposure for SoTA as a product placement and is more likely to engage the existing community of players to take part.

500$ tier investment in another project:
      Game access
Magician title (retrospectively please give it to the seedInvest investors too)
      Cloak with investment project logo
      4+ recolored/reworked items
Investor emote magician (teachable); gold coin trick that end up exploding in the air
Investor emote magician (teachable); ask community for idea
Investor emote magician (teachable); ask community for idea

I would argue that as new people join the game they should be encouraged to upgrade/aspire/work towards a bundle upgrade rather than be given a tax free POT deed; perhaps this can be gamified in some way in game with an additional quest reward upon completing X quests with a deep discount code linked to the account …

Reward those that spend the most time in game, the recurring customers, and thus help retain those player who are “invested” in the project

Seems like a good idea and another way to raise funds for SOTA but I have 2 concerns.

    1. Brightlocker said “While platforms like Kickstarter do provide developers with the opportunity to engage their backers through updates, this level of engagement is ultimately rather passive.”. I do not think our telethons are passive at all and I worry that Brightlocker will take on the role of developer interaction instead of the way it is now.

    2. Brightlocker supports many games and developers. Would this give people who are not invested or even playing SOTA input into the way the game progresses?

To be clear we are not joining the Brightlocker platform. This is simple cross promotion like we have done with other products (Star Citizen, Underworld Ascendant, etc.). Even if we did join the Brightlocker platform at some future date it would only be in addition to our activities here and would not materially change our interactions with our community.
