New Britannia is full of wonderful impressions. We want to highlight all the moments of beauty, virtue, danger, and wondrous discoveries that inhabit the land. We invite you to capture your moments in New Britannia in this ‘Impressions of New Britannia’ – Launch Screenshot Contest!

We will be watching for screenshots matching the following categories, though feel free to come up with your own capture moment that is unique here:

SUBMISSION RULES

  • Each contestant may submit up to three screenshots. These can be spread across three different categories, or lumped into one category.
  • Screenshots must be without UI and should have highest quality settings enabled, unless you absolutely need the UI on for some combat statistic, name mention, or other effect.
  • Include a brief description for each screenshot.

Submit all screenshots in a single post response in This Thread, and on Twitter and/or Facebook if you partake in that part of the contest (be sure to @ our pages there to be noticed).

Deadline to submit is Monday, April 16 at 11:59pm CT. We will only accept one forum post per individual or group. You can submit your own entry separate from a group, if it’s completely separate in content. No reuse of submission materials!

SCREENSHOT GUIDELINES

  • Resolution: Minimum of 1920×1080, and always in 16:9 aspect ratio (you can trim).
  • Quality: Use in-game settings to their maximum, no post-screenshot alterations allowed.
  • Set the stage: Other players and staged items in the shots are great resources.
  • Protip: Be mindful of the time for the best lighting angles and weather you may want.
  • Remember! UI off toggle is (Key: F9), no post-alterations to the screenshots please.

WINNERS & PRIZES

While we have categories to focus on above, winners will be judged purely by quality and originality of the screenshot.

  • 5x Top Winners: 100 COTOs (in-game currency) + Pet of your choice + Screenshot Title
  • 7x Runner-ups: 25 COTOs (in-game currency)
  • We will also be selecting 5x random winners for an additional 25 COTOs each for those who share their top screenshot on Twitter and/or Facebook (you can win both here and in the above categories, so be sure to post in the forums and link your post on social @ShroudOfAvatar for Twitter and @shroudoftheavatar for Facebook))!

Winners will be announced during the community livestream on April 20.

RULES & GUIDELINES

Since this is a value-based contest, a committee of judges will be formed at Portalarium, and any tie breakers will be resolved by the committee. Any disputes or disagreements in the community on who ultimately won will NOT be tolerated as an open discussion in the forums, but sent a private e-mail to support@portalarium.com. Anyone attempting to subvert the contest in any way is subject to an immediate suspension and/or disqualification from the contest.

Inappropriate or vulgar entries are prohibited and will also result in immediate disqualification.

Entries containing any of the following are considered inappropriate:

  • Sexual content or references
  • Disparaging race, gender, or group of people
  • Drug or alcohol abuse
  • Death or suicide of persons real or fake
  • Graphical bugs
  • Depicting the state of the game in a negative manner
