Release 65 Livestream – May 3, 2019 (Hero Team)

Release 65 Instructions

Please read this entire message, as well as the linked Player Guide and Known Issues.

Release 65 of Shroud of the Avatar goes live this Thursday, April 25, at 10:30 AM US Central Time (15:30 UTC).

Release 65 is the first release in which we focused on the current iteration of our Top 10 Priorities (from Q2 2019 Schedule Update). While we made some progress on these priorities we had to spend a significant amount of time patching issues with Release 64 related to our upgrade to the latest version of Unity compounded with the vacations of two of our engineers. This caused us to have to delay some of the goals for Release 65 to a later date.

I want to express a huge amount of gratitude to the players who tested the items listed below on our QA server. They found many bugs and also provided editorial feedback on this post so that it is easy to read and actually matches what is in the game.

Before offering feedback and/or reporting a bug, we kindly ask that you read this whole message and the linked Player Guide and Known Issues to get up to date on the current game state. To keep up to date, please check out the Patch Notes.

Community Livestream – Taming (Apr 26)

Another content packed weekly Community Livestream is this Friday April 26 at 4 PM CT on Twitch!

This week we are going to talk about our creature Taming system since we did some balance work in Release 65 on tamed pets. Part of that balance pass included improving the tamed Wyvern’s poison attack which now adds a weakness effect and drains a small amount of focus, which we will show off during the stream.

You can also earn Release 65 Hero Team themed stretch goals by making a purchase anytime during Release 65 or by participating in the Rewards program!

An early version of R65 is on the QA server. R65 is full of new content and fixes, some of which is now on the QA server for early testing. An early version of the R65 Instructions is also available for review. We could really use everyone’s help to test all of this amazing content before it goes live next Thursday April 25!

Community Livestream – Deco Contest Preview (Apr 19)

Another content packed weekly Community Livestream is this Friday April 19 at 4 PM CT on Twitch!

This week we are going to preview the progress on the POT deco contest going on in Mount Midir. First place will win their very own overworld player owned town and a tax free town deed! There is still plenty of time to enter as the contest runs until Saturday May 4th!

If we have time we will also show off some of the new Release 65 home decoration features like decoration scaling and decoration 180 flipping.

You can still earn Release 64 Dark Spring stretch goals for the next week before Release 65 goes live by making a purchase or by participating in the Rewards program!
