    Question 1: Lighting: Can you fix it so some items are not counted as “lighting” items such as the blacksmith table, smelting table, phonograph and other items that give off very minor amounts of light. It takes away from putting up very luminous lighting specially on the outside where we have minimal light slots.

    Question 2: Containers: Can you create a “storage” container that can hold other containers other than the bank. Before, I had all my decorative containers (stockings, gift box, etc.) in a chest stored away for next year but I can’t do that anymore. It takes away space and clutters our banks which is not really fair to us. I know it only costs 100 gold to buy more slots but that’s not the point.

    Question 3: Deco – Walls: Why can’t we place items on wooden walls like lights, pictures, shelves, etc. Also, what about making some thin light stone or clay walls for indoors, just to change it up a bit.

    RE: Wheel of Fortune Flash Sales

    Something I noticed in this list, and it happened in the Spring telethon as well, is that most Furniture is not included in the sales. Could these be added to the Fireplaces & Lamps option, so we can pick up beds, shelves and bookcases?

    Also, are you keeping the Chaos and Virtue sales of double spin or all items?

    I understand these are a ways in the future…but when you build the Pirate bundles, would you please considering having a slightly smaller Pirate Ship that fits on a town sized water lot? (and land if you do the dry docked version)

    If we hit 250k…..Darkstarr and Berek do Darkstarr dance (see exisitng gif above) in a real Coconut Bra, straw hat, sunglasses and grass skirt………ingame sunglasses that when adorn also puts our character in a beach swimsuit that has its color linked to characters virtue level (ie way Virtue Cloak glows in color….red range to blue range)

    I would like to suggest an improvement to the store and claiming in-game items. I have bought several store items now as gifts during sales and then accidentally claimed them in game when claiming my other game rewards. This is especially troublesome when the purchased store items are character specific and cannot be traded in-game, like emotes.

    Would it be possible to implement a check-box system either in-game or on the website where purchased items that customers do not wish to claim yet can be ticked off or locked to prevent them from being claimed along with other rewards?

    Question 1: Any chance of getting some new clothes to wear around for summer i.e. Grass skirts, hawaiian shirts, and some equippable Pina coladas,perhaps ones that can be worn in either/each hand?

    Question 2:What about hats for our pets? Maybe add a pattern for whistles that will make the little guys a little more customizable?

    Question 3: A little self serving here but,have you thought about in game rewards for streamers I.e. capes, titles or, a special deco pet?

    Sorry for the Newbie question but this is the first Telethon am attending,
    I just wanted to clarify some information, the Telethon will be on May 31st starting at 12:00 on Twitch and I need to also be present in the Chat room for any giveaway prices or questions.

    I want to donate towards this (I believe this means a purchase on the store with a minimum of $5 for the rewards of whatever goals are met) does this purchase need to be done on May 31st, or is it any time between now and then?

    I believe those are all the questions and clarifications I wanted to ask about. thank you all for your help.

    Question: Will it be possible to actually climb an object, like ladders, ropes, walls etc and not just click on them and then poof you are there. I actually would love to see my Char climb the ladder or rope or scale a wall etc….

    Question: We have heard about the long list of combos that will eventually be in game, when the heat style locked decks come in to play will we be able to create a combo as we build our decks. IE; I have 5 discharge and 5 aimed shot cards to use I make a combo and place it in my static deck and now only have four of each left to use?

    Question: Concerning those combos we have heard about, when will we be using them? and what is the reasoning behind them not being in game yet?

    Comment: Thank you all so very much for your dedication to this project. It is obvious you are working very hard, and putting up with too much negativity (maybe even some from me). Truly I am enjoying the process, the experience, and the game.

    Question: Could you outline the process of getting something into the game? What is the path from idea to implementation? For instances, a new skill, and a larger item, like mannequins? How many people are involved before we see it?

    1. In NPC towns that are under construction you get the Attention: message when you enter. Why not allow POT owners access to that to act as a bill board or notice for all player entering the town?

    2. I need a way to number the lots that does not cost me deco units. Some thing in the Manage Lot Claim cog or the Change lot Reservation that would allow you to add a name or lot number. This way a Governor could place lots restricted and players could request lots by number instead of description.

    3. TOOLS. Need a way to clean up the town other than placing lots on areas to down trees and cut grass. And ability to place/move/grow trees in POT that does not cost Deco points.

    Question: Do you have plans on tieing mail/package system with the world map situations ?
    By placing obstacles on the hex map network (Towns under siege, control point blocked, additional items (like lamps with oil depleted) placed in map) you can change pricing of shipping items in large number. If a merchant wants to transport large amount of goods (or improve shipping reliability), they will have to rally other players to conquer the obstacles. This creates healthy inter-player interactions, as well as player made quests.

    Q1. Since robes have no armor resistance, could we allow robes to have greater durability (similar to Bone Armor), thus allowing more enchantments to be applied to them? This seems like it would be a fun way to balance the lack of physical protection that is consistent with traditoinal medieval fantasy magic users.

    Q2. Staves are currently less effective than holding two wands. This is because two wands are capable of having slightly more enchantments than a single staff. To help balance this out, staves would either have to be increased in enchantment effectiveness or wands would have to be decreased.

    In addition, wands also have more flexibility as you can have one wand and carry a shield or a weapon, so it seems to me that staves need some love. Will this be addressed soon?

    Q3. From my perspective Shardfalls remain low traffic areas. I believe this is because the risks still outweigh the rewards. I would like to see Shardfalls have something of value (for PVP) that can not be found anywhere else in the game. Are you ready to explore a change like this to make Shardfalls more visited?

    For example, suppose you allowed players to mine Obsidian from Shardfalls, but no where else. You then made a few recipes that could be used to create useful gear/enchantments for PVP. (i.e. Enchantments from the Chaos magic school, like physical attacks have a chance of casting confusion) Please consider.

      I have 3 questions:

      1. As a RL crafter, and karate ka, I cant help but feel the term GM at 100 is the wrong label, plus it also means there is no future label to attain, if you “mastered” your skill at 100, like gaining a black belt in karate you have finished your elementary training, now you train to perfect, Would it not make sense to have master 100, and GM at 200.. a) to recognise the insane who have gone further, but also anyone who was a GM at masterworking for example would not get “random” items, they would be more than capable of deciding on a rune or whatever to place on their work and get the exact result they wanted.. not just have an improvement.

      2. In the crafting recipe book/crafting tables can we please get how many any given of something it makes so I dunno, bear carcass produces 2 bear meats .. Meaning you can work out without relying on fading braincells how many timbers you need to make x boards for your whatever..

      3. Can we please get a /played timer in game for those of us who hate steam but are still interested in just how long we have wasted, I mean dedicated our lives into sota for?

      PS for those of us who got an elderberry seed for the right reason and initially had a pattern to make the dye, and now cant .. what can we do? can we please get the option to buy the pattern, because I paid a lot of my seed because I could use it, to find out I got stuffed over..

    Question: I want to know whether our Avatar from “Episode I” will be created new again in “Episode II” and then “Episode III”, “Episode IV”, “Episode V”. That is whether we have a brand new Avatar for each Episode or we only have one consistent Avatar throughout all the five Episodes?

    Question 3: Can we please get a detailed explanation on how the Taunt Skill works? It does not seem very effective for a plate wearing tank when you have archers in your party. Also, Can we get a plate artifact with a bonus to threat generation?

    Question 4: Will you please allow us to go one container deep inside another container so we can store items like dressers and cabinets?

    Question 1- Will you give a timeframe or elaborate on Guild Wars / Keep capturing that you said you would have, and how you intend the wars to look between guilds.

    Question 2- Are there any plans to offset some of the massive amount of hours needed to reach a point a new player will be able to PVP relatively successfully against established / our current average player?

    Question 3- What kind of success rates have you had with the free trials up to date, and are they progressively attracting more and more players each time? ( Are you seeing the work done on the starting zones paying off yet, using trial numbers as your example, or not yet? )

    Question 4- Do you feel the game is going in the same direction as it was originally pictured by the developers upon kickstarter?

    Question 1: For some time POT owners have commented that placing water lots on docks is broken. Are there any immediate plans to get this fixed or has this been pushed further down the pipeline?

    Question 2: Given the fact you all have been making performance upgrades to the game, are POT’s going to have the deco limit upgraded anytime? Or are we at the max that you foresee them being at long term?

    Player-driven content mechanics/tools?

    1) Can we have a chest/container that can hand out one or more rewards (and not be like the public cache chest)?

    2) Can we get an NPC for which we can set branching dialogue to act as quest givers (there are already NPC rewards in games, they just don’t do much)? Alternatively, instead of a chest mentioned above, have the NPC dole out a reward?

    3) Can we get an NPC to act as a mini-boss to have people “fight” against?

    Maybe put limits on them to avoid exploiting or to prevent people from doing “inappropriate” things?

    I would be willing to pay for items like this in the Shop, and I am sure it would sell well for in-game gold.

    Q1: Why was the NPC crafting building replaced with a book crafting building in POTs?
    Many POT owns spend a lot of time laying out their town and abrupt unannounced (this was not in the release instructions) changes like this seem unfortunate.

    Q2: POT Signpost Teleporter Networks are a good start. When can we expect a system that is controllable by POT owners?

    Q3: Can we get mannequins for mounting armor/clothing sets?

    2. For Deco’s, how about games of skill that can be ‘played’, like darts (maybe similar to a ranged hit chance on a high level mob), or pool, or even bowling? Card games maybe? Or should I just get some friends IRL?? LOL! :D

    1) Many of the detail decorations (Such as spice bowls, baskets, most of the pitchers/mugs) that take your design from good to great are still only obtainable through theft. Are there plans to place these items on vendors or make them craftable?

    2) Has anyone ever guessed correctly what the special effect of the Oracle Cloak does? I’ve heard so many things, with no definite answer. Is there actually an effect? Maybe a hint at what it does? :)

    3) Regarding the rental system, will players pay manually via sending mail, or will it be paid via the current rent interface and sent to the player on a periodic basis? Also, if a player rents out the space and is later forced to move out, will the items in that space go to their bank, or will the owner be responsible for returning the items?

    1) Why is the mail I received marked as non-tradeable?
    I would like to save any correspondence I receive, but would like to store it outside my bankbox – I don’t have enough room there as it is.

    2) Could staves be given a a moderately decent damage and parry amount?
    I can understand wands being only 1 point, but thumping someone over the head with a heavy piece of wood should give them a major headache, not 0-1 points of damage. Also, IIRC staves were a good parrying weapon. Of course, my definitive guide to staves is Robin Hood Daffy, so I might be misinformed.

    3) I understand why Starr doesn’t want cloaks (or backpacks) to be masterworkable or enchantable; he doesn’t want to skew combat balance/stack even more bonuses people. Would he reconsider?
    They don’t have to be the same time of bonuses we get everywhere else. For masterworking I would see cloaks getting a cold resistance bonus, or maybe a stealth bonus. Enchantment could give varying resistance bonuses. A +10 death resistance wouldn’t be game breaking and there isn’t much that gives that. Backpacks could give increase carrying capacity or endurance. Right now I use a reward cloak – there is no benefit for using a crafted one and the reward cloak has no repair limits.

    Please can we have some buildings like the crafting pavillion for sale/making so we can decorate houses… please make them count as decorations not so we have to buy lots just to put down decorations!

      I doubt they’ll give us an exact copy of the crafting pavilion for sale since it was already sold as a building. But I hope they can give us a variety of wooden shelters that we craft to make our own, and even be able to attach the shelters to our homes. What I’m talking about is the type of shelters we see in North Naryad Pinelands and other scenes.

    I really liked the updated quests in the Solace Bridge Outskirts, especially the quest that involved gathering resources.

    Any chance of some quests that involve Crafting Items for Experience and Gold rewards?

    There was a system called Bulk Order Deeds” in Ultima Online that gave rewards for crafting items to fill work orders, do you think something similar could be added in the future?

    Enjoying the game Very much, I love watching and experiencing the game grow better and better with each release.

    This time all of my questions relate to the Public Stats API (The Public Elasticsearch Server). By the way it would be nice to have a sub-forum just for threads on the Stats API.
    Also Kudos on breaking 200K players.

    Q1: Can we get the display names (as seen by players) of the Items, Vendors/Merchants, and scenename in the Item Events.

    Q2: We now have the ItemDestroyed_AuctionExpiration event, would it be possible to also get events to track the Public and Private vendor sales, buys, and posting of offers? We can see the end of offers if the sale times out but not the start.

    Q3 Am I correct in my assumptions that, in a lot of cases, one Archetype maps to many different types of items?

    1) Will there be wind chimes craft-able/purchasable as deco? Different lengths with different tones to create an entire collectible set that can be turned on to provide constant sound of the chime blowing in the wind, or off to silence the chime.

    2) Will stack-able surfaces be added to crafting stations? For instance, I would like to stack pots, pans & food on my cooking station. Stack steaks, ribs and meat on butcher station. Just a way to make crafting stations look different from one another.

    3) Will stretched hides be a deco option?

    1. Can you please explain how threat mechanics are intended to work? The Taunt and Escape skills do not appear to be very useful currently.

    2. Would you consider adding a stance that increases threat generation, to make it easier for tanks to keep the targets attention?

    Question: Can we have the obsidian rowhouse roofs switched over to internal-object placement? Splitting 5-8 objects between the lower entrance, roof and balcony (4-story) is a bit silly.

    Question: What is the ideal size of an adventure zones? With the size of zones we have now, are you happy with the size of zones now? it seems if a zone has a group of 4 or more players you are either forced to switch to a different zone or switch to Single Player Online to have efficient play sessions. It would be nice if zones could support multiple groups to be able to adventure efficiently and still have the MMO feel of other people adventuring around you.

    Are you purposely keeping zones a small loop with boundaries for technical reasons? What is stopping you from making MOST adventure zones the size of blood bay?

    1. How does spell crit gear effect spell crit? If I have +20% spell crit from gear, is that a flat increase in critical chance or is it multiplicative.

    2. How frequently do the moons in sky update? I will change scenes and moons will move really far or disappear from the sky, is this intended?

    3. When will we be able to interrupt monsters’ attacks? For example, if I stun/mesmerize a Lich before it starts its whirlwind animation, it will still attack me while stunned or mes’d. Even if I blink 20 meters away, it will still hit me. Why?

    Our story delivery system has no way of showing character body language or voice inflection and thus is having a really hard time conveying emotion and tipping the player off about when NPC’s are lying.

    The writers are forbidden from using descriptive text, and can only write dialog, thus they can never say things like “He nervously looks around the room” and “She says coyly.”

    The “players aren’t mind readers” excuse doesn’t work because 93% of communication is nonverbal. Look around a room, you can spot the guy who looks nervous, even though you aren’t a mind reader. You can sense that a person is lying.

    So how are you going to deliver that 93% if not in text? The emotes aren’t up to the task.

    2) Can you please release some templates for the UI so we can make some other windows? I can’t do the dark tiny look. I would love to help make as well as download UI themes, and think this is a great opportunity for some of that crowd sourcing we were hoping for.

    3) Will long time inactive player vendors ever be returned to the owners bank? Abandoned shops are super annoying.

    I heard a lot of talk about risk/reward being a justification for the XP bonus if you flag PvP….we now have the Evil Death Decay (EDD) which makes risk even greater for the average Joe. Where is the reward for the 99%? I killed off several high HP mobs the other night (like the 2K HP type and”loot” was just silly. We see so much of the 8g type “reward” fighting a mob that can kill you and mean a loss of a considerable amount of time. Really bad when you can lose over an hour of your time for 8g. When I got to first test the Live r42 I went into Twins Foothills where loot already was poor. I was amazed to see the already bad loot (from the low durability of the previously dropped 2h Halbs etc) nerfed even further as the mobs now have poorer weapon drops. I honestly think part of the reason the server population is so low is that for he majority it just isn’t worth the time to play. When will you finally fix loot?

    Q1 Why can we no longer see our group party members’ names? This is extremely inefficient and frustrating. Since this change, when ever we group up, we spend most of our time looking for the members of our party. If someone stops to loot, or harvest, or skin, they end up getting left in the dust.

    Q2 Can the pet resurrect distance be put back to anywhere in the scene? Since this change, I am no longer using pets since I have lost so many when they get killed in the midst of a mob attack. I can not get back to the pet to rez since I just end up dying myself.

    Q3 Any chance that the new mailboxes can be put on stands? I do not have a house on my property, just greenhouses and therefore cannot hang my mailbox on the outside of a building. I have had to find a work around and ended up putting my mailbox in my basement and now it takes 2 loading screens every time I want to check my mail. :(

    Not a question – just a comment – in so many other aspects, the game is absolutely wonderful – keep up the great work guys – your efforts are appreciated and I for one get many, many hours of pleasure as result of all of your efforts and dedication – thank you all!

      Mailboxes, lanterns, signs, would all be cool if we could affix them to a post manually… like we have with lamposts, but something we can manually put together and attach more than one item to as if it were a wall.

    4. Could we have the decay in GAME TIME, pleeeeeeaaaaaaase :.) Loosing every PLAYday the heardly earned amount of received XP from days ago is not fun at all, if you just can play for an hour a few days a week.

    Question 1) Why is the fizzle rate on Dash so high? It’s a spell that’s all about movement you shouldn’t have to stop doing the thing it’s augmenting to make it reliably work. Wearing leather armor I have a 45.5% fizzle chance on Dash while moving, that’s a slightly greater than 50% chance that the spell about making me move faster will actually work while I’m already moving.

    Question 2) Can we get in game indications on what in game item drops can produce patterns? I asked this before and everyone was all ‘It already does’, Example: The Lich Axe and the Kobold Hammer can both produce patterns. However, I only know this because I’ve managed to produce patterns for them in the past. When I go to salvage something that can produce a pattern I should be able to tell that it can and, preferably, what the percentage chance of the pattern being produced is.

    Question 3) Has thought been given to making the process of leveling Masterwork subskills (like Masterwork Ranged Weapon or Masterwork Plate Armor) and Enchantment subskills (Armor Enchantment and Weapon Enchantment) less tedious and more rewarding to level? Currently they do absolutely nothing until you reach the magic threshold skill level where suddenly they begin to provide their actual benefit. That’s like unlocking Lightning Bolt but until you reach X level in it you still only cast Discharge everytime you click Lightning Bolt.

    Would it be possible to make the headgear visual optional? Nearly all of the players I’ve asked about it do not care for the graphics of current headgear and would prefer no graphic but no one wants to lose the stats.
    This might also apply to the cloak. I don’t wear it because it breaks immersion when the cloak is folded through your body and looks more like a loincloth.

    Question: Are there any future balance changes targeted at stealth gameplay, specifically skills like sneak attack (underpowered for the conditions) and night step (slow cast feels chunky), to make stealth a bit more viable.

    Question: What are your thoughts on combos current state, do you have any changes planned outside of adding more? Imho it’s one of the most interesting features of your combat system, but them feel under-powered when considering they need to take up 2 slots to create and 3 slots if you want to make combo stacks. The bug fix to deck swap did help this since I now effectively have 20 slots instead of 10, but I think they still need some more love.

    Question: What are your thoughts on the current state of Stacking, the focus reduction is nice, but myself and others often choose to run a 1 unlocked slot spam 9 locked deck with the minimum glyphs over a stacking deck, I think this would be less popular if stacking was more powerful. Obvious concerns would seem to be balancing it with stacking vs locked.

    Question: The heat system has done a lot to balance locked and unlocked, but combos are still the ugly stepsister in the system balance, what are your thoughts or plans for locked decks and combos?

    Question: I spend a lot of time standing idly between pulls, waiting for focus regen out of combat. I understand you want food and blessings to be important, but I feel like the slow out of combat regen rate hurts the combat pacing. Is this really necessary considering a lot of games make out of combat mana/focus regen extremely fast to avoid these concerns?

    Question 1: 2-Handed Bludgeon Weapons: It seems 2-Handed Bludgeon weapons have a lack of variety compared to other weapons. When will we see more 2-Handed Bludgeon weapons and patterns in game? Also, when will we ever see one as a reward in a telethon????

    Question 2: Pet Control: When right clicking on an enemy and selecting “Attack”, tamed pets are still not responding on the first attempt. Most of the time you need to use the command “Attack” 2x before the pet will initiate the “Attack”. This has been reported and been around for awhile, any fix in sight?

    Question 3: Orcs: Will we ever see roaming Orc packs? The Orc Mages need to scratch their itch! :D

    Next: What’s up with the dead undead that keep attacking After death? I was killed yesterday by a Skeleton Mage Corpse in DR. I mean CORPSE… it continued to shoot (fireballs) long after it was a corpse…

    It’s hard to imagine this type of behavior wasn’t noted on QA and, with the way the new EDD (EVIL death decay) is applied it makes it all the more annoying.

    Question1 : Will there be a chance to have an open pvp system similar to Ultima Online but with current loot system? right now things like pickpocket are near impossible to do, too low pvp flagged player, cause this system advantage too much no flagged people cause they can attack flagged one, so near none is flagged.
    Question2 : After mounts release date, we’ll be able to attack while mounted like uo?

For a game in which Exp management is so critical, it is cumbersome to have to open a separate (and large) window to check exp pool balance so frequently.     Prior to this release while in party we were able to see the name of party members basically across the entire zone we were in. This made it easy to catch back up with our party when we got distracted by something. Since this release, you can barely see your party members names 10 steps. Is this change by design? If not can we get it fixed? If so, can we get the range extended at least? Sometimes you can literally be standing beside the other party member and their name will not show.

    Anyone know if broken backpacks are a problem of this release or a previous one. I grabbed two bags I’d crafted a while ago and had in the bank and now find they are 0/0 health and broken and I’d have to pay for a full repair to bring them back. When they had been 100% when I banked them after crafting. Possible it was a previous release that broke them, I’m only just noticing now.

    Just a thought here, I upgraded my Obsidian row house yesterday to the 3 story. Which gave me a nice patio. But I can’t put anything on it because its considered outdoor space :( I think changing it so that a house with a patio and a flat roof that’s accessible on purpose, ie the ladder up. Shouldn’t count against our outdoor decorations. It defeats the purpose of even having the space.

    With Release 42, we now have the ability to add a custom pattern, or “skin”, to an existing book, thereby our player-written books can have different covers! :) I was very excited about this… until I tried it.

    First, the pattern itself is 200 GP at a bookseller vendor… not too bad. Then you combine the book, the pattern, and 3 wax at a Tailoring Station… and BLAM, new book cover!

    Unfortunately, if you take the new book and use a printing press to copy it, it does not retain the new cover design… the copy has the old book cover design. This means that— if you have a book that you’ve written and want a custom cover for all the copies, it will cost you 200 GP for each cover. If you’re only doing a couple of books, the 200 GP pattern price is okay… but mass production of in-game player-written books with custom covers is going to get expensive really fast. :(

    Maybe you meant to have it like that, but IMHO it would better to either be able to buy blank books already made with the desired cover, or have the new cover design carry over in the printing press duplication process.

    Perchance, did this issue get looked at for this next release? I’m confident that there are a lot more “pressing” issues (printing press, get it?), but I’d really love to mass produce my book without spending 200gp for each copy.

    How about a wearable quiver for the back slot? It should only hold arrows or crossbow bolts, and should be able to take enchantments just like anything else. I’ve seen quivers hanging on the wall in some places (though they don’t seem to be a placeable deco item) and we have wearable backpacks now, so this should be too tough, right?
